6 Top left – Lecture theatre in the Blizard Building; decked out in bright green as this is the colour that keeps students alert (awake) the longest. Don’t be late to lectures otherwise you’ll be sat on one of the red seats which often means you’ll be asked questions by the lecturer. Top right – The Great Hall; recently refurbished and now seats This is where your graduation ceremony will take place should you study at QM. Bottom left – Our new ArtsTwo building; home to School of History. Bottom centre – School of Biological and Chemical Sciences, recently refurbished to an award winning standard for it’s green impact. Bottom right – France House as viewed across the Regent Canal which runs alongside the College campus

7 Mile End Campus Explain that QM is unique as a London institution in having a traditional campus environment. Mention that UCL, King’s, LSE and Imperial for example provide very different social experiences for their students as accommodation is often quite a distance from the academic buildings, students union etc. Point out key buildings on campus – Student Village, Library, Sports Hall and Gym, the Octagon theatre and People’s Palace. And of course point out the building that you are based in. Mention that Mile End and Stepney Green tube stations are only 2-3 minutes walk from campus meaning travel to Westfield, the City and the West End is both quick and straightforward. Sum up by saying that students get the best of both worlds, a traditional campus experience but with the academic, cultural and social experiences of London on their doorstep.
