Site description: Sandy beach with sand dunes. The area around the beach is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The dunes house a rare collection of natterjack toads.

Access rights: Public access. However, Eni Liverpool Bay Operating Company own the beach and issue permits for organised visits – fill out permission request form for each visit (saved in coasts on working folder) and to Kim Norman .

Access / Egress: From Preston Montford Follow A5 (to North Wales), A483 and N Wales Expy/A55 to A5026 in Flintshire. Take exit 32 from N Wales Expy/A55. Turn right onto the B5432 (Halkyn road), which becomes the A5026 in Holywell. Turn right onto B5121 (New road and becomes Greenfield Road). Turn left onto A548 (Mostyn Road). At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Station Road which runs into Talacre. .

Parking: Mini bus parking: continue to the end of Station road, up and over the ramp, and down into a sandy car park (not advised in or immediately after heavy rain or during a Spring high tide). Coach drop off: on Gamfa Wen (road branching left from main road – signed overflow parking).
