8 What Comprises The TMIP-J Suite Of Systems?
Description Mobile Computing Capabilities (MCC) First Responder/Field Medical Care: Point of initial care documentation; health history information; medical readiness information; automated medical coding; medical references; clinical decision support AHLTA-Theater Outpatient: treatment documentation; aeromedical evacuation capability; limited ancillary services and inpatient hold capabilities for forward resuscitative medical units TMIP Composite Health Care System Caché (TC2) Inpatient: healthcare and ancillary services documentation; interface for order entry/results retrieval with Deployed Tele-Radiology System (DTRS) TMIP Reporting Reporting capabilities on patient demographics, clinical and other pertinent data utilizing the information residing in the AHLTA-T database TMIP-Framework Data Messaging: store and forward messaging service that allows information to transmit from the operational medicine locations to home-based repositories Theater Medical Data Store (TMDS) Data Repository: A web-based data repository/application used to view Service members’ medical treatment information recorded in the combat zone. TMDS views and tracks ill or injured patients as they move through operational levels of care, sustaining base medical treatment facilities (MTFs). Includes Theater Blood Capability DTRS/Theater Image Repository (TIR) Tele-Radiology: Local Picture Archiving and Communications System for Theater; Transfers the radiographic images via Very Small Aperture Terminals intra-theater and to the TIR at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center Maritime Medical Modules (MMM) Maritime Medical Modules: include TMIP Radiation Health; DMLSS Maritime; Health Services; Environment Health Medical Situational Awareness in Theater (MSAT) Medical Situational Awareness: A web-based application that aggregates information from multiple communities to provide decision support and a common operating picture Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) Customer Assistance Module (DCAM) Medical Logistics: ordering tool that enables operational units to monitor medical supplies (class VIII) and replenish when required Maritime Medical: Modules include: TMIP Radiation Health; DMLSS Maritime; Health Services; Environment Health Transportation Command (TRANSCOM) Regulating and Command & Control Evacuation System (TRAC2ES)-Mobile Patient Movement: Interface with TRAC2ES when communications become available (store and forward); provides Patient Movement Request data

9 Our EHR Modernization Journey
Between Sept 2013-April 2014: PEO DHMS met with Congressional committees 27 times, facilitating release of all Congressionally imposed funding withholds.

10 MHS GENESIS Prime Contractor: Leidos, Inc. Contract: $4.3 billion Teaming Name: Leidos Partnership for Defense Health (LPDH) Core Partners: Leidos Inc., Cerner Corporation, Accenture, and Henry Schein Inc. Integrated inpatient and outpatient EHR

11 Single DoD Electronic Health Record
MHS GENESIS is an integrated system that will facilitate the safe transitions of care across the spectrum of military operations to include garrison, operational, & en route care Utilizing MHS GENESIS in both garrison & operational care provides the benefits of bi-directional communication, to train like we fight, incorporate dental capability, & replace end-of-life TMIP-J components

Integrated inpatient and outpatient EHR Not really … but …

13 What Is JOMIS Increment 1?
Increment 1 Allows: Integration of MHS GENESIS into operational medical systems Two-way flow of information between garrison and theater Sunset of AHLTA-T and TC2 legacy systems Provides a dental capability CONUS - Based Components Two-way BEFORE One-way AFTER TMIP-J Applications TC2 AHLTA Theater TMIP Reporting TMIP Framework MMM DCAM TRAC2ES Mobile JOMIS Applications MHS GENESIS TMIP Framework MMM DCAM TRAC2ES Mobile MCC MCC MHS GENESIS is an integrated system that will facilitate the safe transitions of care across the spectrum of military operations to include garrison, operational, & en route care Utilizing MHS GENESIS in both garrison & operational care provides the benefits of bi-directional communication, to train like we fight, incorporate dental capability, & replace end-of-life TMIP-J components
