Academic Athletic Military Character and Leadership Based upon our mission of developing future Air Force leaders our entire program is surrounded by the whole person development system focusing on 4 major pillars.

5 Academics World-Class Facilities Small Classes Most Dedicated Teaching
Student Faculty Ratio (9:1) Most Dedicated Teaching Faculty in the Country 63% military and 37% civilian Faculty totally dedicated to the students: Teachers give out home, office, and cell phone numbers and what times of the day they will be available. Our teachers are there not for research, grants, or to get published. Teachers have regular office hours for Extra Instruction (EI). *Most classes are less than 20 cadets *Very small student faculty ratio (9:1)

Study Abroad—50 Cadets China, Egypt, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, Russia, Singapore Semester Exchange—19 Cadets Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Japan, Spain Language Immersion—300 Cadets and 30 Faculty (includes ROTC) Argentina, Brazil, China, France, Egypt, Germany, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, Morocco, Panama, Peru, Spain, Ukraine Cultural Immersion—337 Cadets and 70 Faculty (includes ROTC)—39 Countries Reciprocal Academy Visits—100 Cadets and 25 Faculty Members Visiting 24 Countries In addition to sending cadets all over the country, we send them internationally as well. Cadets go abroad to study or visit at foreign civilian universities, military academies, and language schools our just to experience the culture opportunities per year Total = 800+ International Opportunities PER YEAR!

17 Men’s, 10 Women’s and 2 Coed Varsity Sports 26 NCAA 2 Other (Boxing, Cheerleading) Mountain West Conference (MWC) 10 Universities USAFA, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawaii (Football only), New Mexico, Nevada, San Jose State, UNLV, Utah State and Wyoming AFA = Air Force Academy CSU = Colorado State University SDSU = San Diego State University TCU = Texas Christian University UNM = University of New Mexico With approximately 22% of the student body participating in Intercollegiate Athletics, USAFA is #1 in the Nation in athletic opportunities for women

Aerobatic Team – 3rd in Collegiate Nationals X-Country Team - Current National Collegiate Champions Jump Basic Free Fall Wings of Blue-Demo team Holds over 260 gold medals on a national level Current National Collegiate Champions 30th National Title in 40 years Powered Flight Program 13.5 Flying Training Hours 25.3 Academic Hours Flying Team 16 Cadets; Pilot’s license required Regional Champs 22 years running Our goal is to have all cadets participate in at least 2 airmanship programs before graduation. Jump***Only place in the nation your first freefall jump is solo. Soaring Speak to it Emphasis Develops character and leadership as students and as Instructors

13 USAFA FALCON FOUNDATION
Offer Partial Scholarships to Civilian Prep Schools New Mexico Military Institute, Marion Military Academy, Northwestern Prep, Wentworth Academy, Greystone Preparatory, Randolph-Macon Academy, and Kent School Partial scholarships for those that didn’t quite make the cut for direct appointment. Students must earn a nomination upon completion of their preparatory program.

Apply on academyadmissions.com Application dates 1 Dec – 31 Jan Takes place during summer between Junior and Senior year Explain what it is & who it’s for and what they can expect… also explain that it’s at their expense. Competition is fierce.

15 ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE FOR AN APPOINTMENT
BASIC ADMISSION STEPS Academically Competitive Medically Qualified Physically Qualified Have Official Nomination Must meet minimum ACT/GPA requirements with a robust high school curriculum consisting of math, science, and english. Must pass an initial medical exam. Must perform a physical fitness test: 1 mile run, push-ups, sit-ups, basketball throw, pull ups, and shuttle run. Must receive an official nomination.
