4 You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself Any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go.

5 You’ll look up and down streets. Look ‘em over with care

Participation at Sunnyvale /STEP Summer School Observing cooperating teacher Working with small groups and individual students Presenting teaching and learning segments of variable lengths In Field Placement Co-planning curriculum, lessons, assessments Following Induction Plan agreement Working with individual students in small groups Some whole class teaching where the Teacher Candidate is responsible for learning segments of variable and increasing lengths By mid-year (approx. December) Teacher Candidate will take responsibility for about a week of teaching.

15 Graduated Responsibility (Continued)
Advancement to Independent Daily Student Teaching Teacher Candidate must pass ALL subject matter requirements for independent student teaching Complete Special Permission Form Independent Daily Student Teaching Observation Full responsibility for the classroom for an extended period (weeks rather than days). Cooperating Teacher still has legal authority for all that transpires in the classroom.
