Introduce audience to DiscoverLaw.org as THE official site for this initiative. Briefly mention that anyone interested in law school will take the LSAT, (which we develop and administer). Sometimes, the audience doesn’t know the organization, but they tend to know us by the test.

4 All grantees are required to expose and encourage their participants to sign-up for DiscoverLaw.org. It’s the foundation of all our programs and the core of our brand.

5 DISCOVERLAW.ORG GOALS Encourage racially and ethnically diverse students to discover career opportunities in law and choose a path in undergraduate school to help them succeed Provide students with resources, tips, and tools on how to become a competitive law school applicant Make this website your official source of information on the LSAT, early preparation, financial aid, and other law school admission issues Mention the goals of the DiscoverLaw.org Initiative to your students, especially if they may not return to any programs in the future. Staying connected to the website will help them continue learning about law school admissions and becoming prepared.

This would be a good time to distribute the “Why Register” one pager before or after this slide. Here, you want to mention to the students that signing up continues preparing them and provides continued information to stay competitive (it is a continuation of the law school’s work today). Being connected to DiscoverLaw.org provides information to students throughout their path. Then next slides provide more details.

During the school year, this premium section is updated biweekly and features the answers. This feature is for students who sign up at DiscoverLaw.org. Imagine if you start taking these practice tests now (in high school or college) how much more prepared you would be and how much more familiar you would be with the test items.

17 Practicing the question types is important
Practicing the question types is important. Over time, you will become more familiar and comfortable with these questions. Understanding the answer and why it is the correct one is also important to understand. We provide this information and encourage students to begin looking at these questions early and practice regularly.

18 Registrants become preferred applicants for the
DiscoverLaw.org Prelaw Undergraduate Scholars (PLUS) Summer Program Registrants are given preference to DiscoverLaw.org Prelaw Undergraduate Scholars summer program when they apply to an individual programs. These are four week summer programs that model what it’s like to be in law school. They are free and some programs include stipends.
