2. KTO is a leading logistic service provider - co-ordinating all transport, distribution and related logistic activities such as warehousing, cutting and packaging repair - with a focus on the niche market of floor covering logistics. Its headquarters are based in Izegem, West-Flanders (Belgium).
The company is mainly active in groupage / distribution and outsourcing the long haul transportation. KTO mainly distributes carpet, vinyl, rugs but also laminate, parquet and other related products are distributed through the same retail channels.

3. The KTO group of companies is composed of KTO nv, KTO Sasu (French distribution arm), KTO GmbH (German distribution arm) and Transa nv (IC technology). Today, the company is primarily active in the Benelux, French, Swiss and German markets.
Starting September 2006, KTO will set up a nationwide UK delivery service for roll cut lengths and small consignments offering predefined guaranteed transit times per area code. The network will provide manufacturers, retailers and wholesalers with the competitors advantage using a “door to door” delivery service. Collecting, handling and delivery will all be done by the same company KTO offering the customer a fully transparent logistic information flow.

4. After collecting the goods, they are sorted in our warehouse in Izegem (Belgium) and loaded for direct delivery to the UK.
Warehouse racks have been designed to contain rolls, i.e. with flat floors and side panels which reduce handling damage to a minimum.

5. All goods are individually labelled by our customer mentioning a unique ID and barcode. A EDI file matches the scanned info with all shipment details.
Forklifts are equipped with a wireless computer (RF) that gives instructions to the driver, based on input from the WMS and the needle scanner.
