1 Lions Clubs International is celebrating 100 years of humanitarian service.
I’m excited to share with you the latest information on this historic Lions Program.

2 Connect with Community
Honor 100 Years of Lions Lead through Service Invite for Impact Connect with Community When we thought about honoring 100 years of Lions Clubs, we naturally started with service and created the Centennial Service Challenge. Next, we added the Centennial Membership Awards, so we could increase the number of people we can serve. Then, we asked each Lions Club to connect with their community and implement a Community Legacy Project.

3 Centennial Service Challenge
Goal: Serve over 100 million people Youth Vision Hunger Environment So how do Lions Lead through Service? We started with a big goal. The goal of the Centennial Service Challenge is to serve more than 100 million people in 4 areas: Youth, {CLICK} Vision, {CLICK} Hunger, and {CLICK} Environment.

4 Service Challenge Update
People Served ### Clubs Reporting ### Let’s see how Lions worldwide are meeting the Challenge. As of the beginning of this month, over ##,000 Lions clubs are reporting Centennial Service Challenge activities. And those activities have benefited over ### million people all over the world! Isn’t that wonderful! {applause}

5 Invite for Impact Ask others to join us in service
Each Lion serves 70 people Millions more will be served each year Earn limited-edition awards Induct new members Sponsor new clubs But, in looking ahead to our next 100 years, we will need even more Lions to serve in communities across the globe. Each Lion serves, on average, 70 people each year. That’s 70 more lives that YOU can benefit each year, just by inviting a new member. New members bring new energy, ideas, and helping hands that can serve millions more people each and every year. All Lions and Lions Clubs have the opportunity to earn limited-edition Centennial awards for the new members and clubs they sponsor. Who has earned a Centennial Sponsor award by inducting a new member? {wave hand} Who has earned a Club Organizer award? {wave hand}

6 Membership Awards Update
The longer your member or club stays active, the more recognition you receive Centennial Members/Clubs ##/## Clubs Participating ### So far, over ##,000 clubs have participated in the Centennial Membership Awards. They have added over ###,000 new members and over ##00 new clubs. And, the longer your new member or club stays active, the more recognition you receive. When your Centennial Member or Club stays active for a year and a day, you receive a silver award. {CLICK} When they stay active for 2 years and a day, you receive a gold award. {CLICK} When they stay active for 3 years and a day, you receive a diamond award. Clubs are eligible for awards, too! If your club inducts 3 new members or sponsors a new club within one of our Centennial Celebration years, they are recognized as a Premier Centennial Lions Club. Where there’s a need, we NEED a Lion. So, let’s all contribute to the growing power of our Lions Clubs! Clubs earn awards, too!

7 Connect with Community
Work with community leaders Identify a local project Visible long-term benefit Every Club can leave a Legacy Level 1: fountain, bike rack Level 2: van, foot bridge, park Level 3: school, clinic, library The third way all Lions Clubs can honor our Centennial is by connecting with our communities. Work with your community leaders to identify a local project that will: honor our Lions legacy, be a visible sign of Lions presence, and benefit the community for years to come. Legacy Projects have 3 levels, so every Lions Club can participate. Level 1 Legacy Projects raise your club’s visibility. For example, you could donate a water fountain, bike rack, or park bench. Level 2 Legacy Projects are larger gifts to the community; {CLICK} donate a medical van, build a foot bridge or community park. Level 3 Legacy Projects are large-scale efforts, such as a {CLICK} school, clinic, library, or training center.

8 Community Legacy Projects Update
Projects Completed ## Clubs Reporting ## Legacy Projects are the most recent addition to our Centennial Celebration, but already many Lions clubs are working with their communities and reporting their projects on MyLCI. Those reports have come in from every Constitutional Area around the world with more than ##00 clubs reporting over ##00 projects so far. Clubs earn a Lions Legacy Project patch for each level of Legacy Project they complete each year of the Centennial. Level 1 project patches have a bronze border, {CLICK} Level 2 patches have a silver border, and {CLICK} Level 3 patches have a gold border. Patches are distributed in the first quarter of each year. {CLICK} Don’t forget to mark your Legacy Project with a sign or plaque, showing future generations that it was provided by Lions. Let’s give a hand for all the Lions Legacy Projects, those completed, those underway, and those that are just now starting to be envisioned. {APPLAUSE} Legacy Project Patch Level 1 3 2
