2 Schedule 6:30-7:50 College & Career Resource Center (CCRC) Overview: Events and Resources 7:00-7:30 Breakout Session I 7:40-8:10 Breakout Session 2 8:20-8:50 Breakout Session 3 *NOTE: Military Options in Higher Education will only be offered during Session I Using All of Your Resources to Find a College Fit will only be offered During Sessions 2 and 3.

3 What is the CCRC? Located in the Counseling Department
A Service of the CHS Counseling Department Located in the Counseling Department Complement and support the efforts of CHS Counselors to provide post-secondary planning information and resources. 4 CCRC – What We Do Identify, develop, collect, and organize college and career resources Share updated information and resources with the CHS Counselors and Staff to aid their work with students Individual College/Career Advising with students and parents Conduct student workshops and parent programming on topics such as: College Search College Applications Essay Writing/Personal Statements Financial Aid Career/Major Exploration Interviewing and MORE! Build relationships with college representatives Organize and disseminate scholarship information Collect and maintain data

PSAT Day Senior Program: October 19, 2016 Open Lab for College Applications: SRT 9/14, 9/22, 10/5, 10/28; Late Start: 9/14, 10/5 Jesuit Excellence Tour College Fair September 14th 6:30 pm Auditorium Financial Aid Night: October 25th 6:30 pm Auditorium EF College Tours Parent Information Meeting: November 3rd 6:30 pm Auditorium Career Exploration/Decision Making Workshops: SRT 11/7 or 11/11 STEM Majors & Careers Fair November 15th 6:30 p.m. Auditorium Commons FAFSA Completion Workshop: January 31st 10 am-1 pm & 3-7 pm in the Media Center

Finding Your College Fit Workshops: SRT 2/16, 3/17, 3/23 Military Academy Day: February 10th 9:40 am/SRT Media Center 1 & 2 (Parents Welcome!) 9th/10th College & Career Planning Night: February 21st 6:30 pm Auditorium Junior College Information Meetings: SRT March 7th and March 9th Admission to Selective Schools Panel: April 20th 9:40 am/SRT Auditorium (Parents Community Scholarships Night: May 18th 6:30 pm Auditorium Class of 2018 College Application Boot Camp: Summer 2017 Dates TBD

7 Other Events and Opportunities
Over 100 College Admissions Representatives visit CHS throughout the Fall Semester Students can sign up to meet with reps during SRT Schedule and sign up in Family Connection Account and get a pass from Counseling Rep visit schedule is also on the Counseling website www1.ccs.k12.in.us/chs/counseling College Fairs Jesuit Excellence Tour College Fair – September 14th Carmel High School 6:30-8:00 pm Indy National College Fair– Sept. 16th, Indiana Convention Center, 9 am-1 pm Hamilton County College Fair – Sept. 15th, Fishers High School, 6:30-8 pm Indy Christian College Fair –Sept. 27th, Hazel Dell Christian Church in Carmel, 6:30-8:30 pm Greater Indy Northside College Fair- March 15th, 2017, 502 East Event Center, Carmel, 6:30-8:30 pm Regional/Local Admission Information Sessions Check college websites to see when they might be in the area sharing information with prospective students

Family Connection All CHS students have a Family Connection account A one-stop resource for the college search and career exploration process Local and national scholarship resources Resume creator A means for communicating with students and parents For seniors: request transcripts and letters of recommendation for college applications
