Staff shuttle bus service Travel Benefits
The shuttle bus transfers staff and patients between both hospital sites; providing a continuous “pick-up and go” service from 7am to 8pm Monday–Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). . Making your journey to work easier on your pocket As a member of Trust staff, did you know that you can tap into a wide range of benefits which could save you money on a daily basis? The cost of travel in London is often one of our biggest expenses, with many people spending thousands of pounds each year getting to and from work. All Trust staff can get a staff season ticket loan to help make this cost a little easier to bear. Staff can take out an interest free loan of up to £7,000 to buy an annual season ticket and then pay it back over 12 months directly from their wages. Buying an annual ticket compared to a weekly or monthly ticket can save you hundreds of pounds. For example, buying an annual zone 1-4 travel card would save you over £360 a year compared to buying weekly tickets. If you would like to apply for a season ticket loan please visit the GTi and complete the application form. Hospital pick up points Guy's - just off Newcomen Street, next to Nuffield House. St Thomas‘ - lower ground car park (Lambeth Wing), opposite the Florence Nightingale Museum.

Keeping Active Ian Abbs - Ambassador for an active body says:
"Given the leadership role that those who work in healthcare have, we can lead by example and encourage patients, staff and the public to increase physical activity and gain important health benefits. Being physically active is not just about sporting achievements and everyone can gain benefit from making small changes to their daily lives. I would encourage you to join in and make this year the year that you take up a new sport, achieve a personal goal or simply walk to work one day." Guy’s and St Thomas’ also offers fitness facilities for staff which are located on both sites. Additionally the Guy’s site also offers a 25 meter swimming pool for staff. Dunhill Gym – St Thomas’ Hospital Located at the rear of St Thomas' House. The entrance is via South Wing. Guy’s Gym – Guy’s Hospital Located in the basement of Shepherds House. Childcare Vouchers The Trust provides two subsidised nurseries for the benefit of Guy's and St Thomas' employees: one is based within the grounds of Guy's and has 44 places the other is the newly built facility at St Thomas' with an increased capacity of 102 places. Both nurseries accept children from the age of three months up to school age. They are open from 7am to 7pm with children staying a maximum of 10 hours, as recommended by OFSTED.
