1 The Philippine Constitution -The Constitution seeks to build a just and humane society under a government that will promote the general welfare and preserve our independence and democracy.

2 Definitions Constitution-The system of fundamental principles according to which a nation,state,corporation, or the like is governed. State- A state is a community of nations more or less numerous permanently occupying a definite portion of territory, having a government of their own to which the great body of inhabitants render obedience and enjoying freedom from external control.

3  Nation- is a group of people bound together by certain characteristics and shares the same history, ancestry, culture, and language.  Government- Is an agency of the state to which its will and ideology is expressed. A state cannot exist without a government. As it is one of the elements of the state. It is through the government that the state’s political ideology is reflected.

5 What is section 2?  Implementation of a continuing education program  Adaptability of this program to the needs

6 What is section 3?  Educating Filipinos about the Constitution  Inculcate nationalism  Love of Country  Respect for human rights  Responsible Citizenship

7 What is section 4?  Reasonable supervision and regulation  Control and administration should be vested to the Filipinos  No foreigners shall be given the authority to hold key positions in an exclusive school.

8 What is section 5?  Encourage local planning at regional level  Enjoy academic freedom  Right to select the kind of course  Right of teacher to professional advancement  Extending the highest budgetary priority

9 What are sections 6-7?  National Language should be Filipino  Auxiliary Languages can be used  Spanish and Arabic are being used by the majority of the citizens.

10 What are sections 8 and 9?  A translation of the constitution in different language is necessary  There must be a commission on National Language(sec.9)

11 What are sections 10-13?  Science and Technology is the duty of the state to promote and provide incentives What are sections 14-18?  Preservation, protection, and enrichment of the dynamic revolution of Filipino Culture (Deped,CCP,Commission of the Arts and Culture, National Arts Center los Banos,Laguna)

12 What is section 19?  All educational institutions are required to undertake regular sports activities nationwide. Purposes: Physical Spiritual Moral For the Citizenry (e.g.Millenials)
