1. Status of the SL5 migration ALICE TF Meeting 05-11-09

2. Current status Using as reference the slides presented during the last week ALICE offline meeting – ITALY Torino: migration to SL5/64bit almost completed. Today or tomorrow the VO-Box will be migrated. Expected to have the site again up and running by Monday. Deployment of new storage will follow Catania: No progress on SL5 migration, also because of the swine flu. StoRm+xrootd storage should be ready for testing. There is a CREAM-CE there, but apparently it is in bad shape. No news about TriGrid Bari: WN migration completed. VO-Box should be migrated today or tomorrow. CREAM CE deployment will immediately follow. There is already a Lustre/StoRM/xrootd test installation there. Cagliari: SL5 migration and CREAM CE deployment being taken care of Legnaro: SL5 migration of WNs complete or almost so (it was "almost so" a few days ago). VO-Box migration underway. Plans to add one or two of the old dCache servers to the xrootd storage (this amounts to about 10TB) CNAF: 1 vobox already installed + 300 WNs already migrated (migration of the whole site under discussion) Trieste: Instalation of a VOBOX ongoing

3. Current Status France – CCIN2P3: 60% of the total batch capacity in now in SL5. ALICE submitting now to SL5 exclusively. Transition of vobox to glite 3.2 is planned for the end of next week. STILL PENDING THE SETUP OF A 2 ND VOBOX. CREAM has been tested and is ready for entering ALICE GRID environment for test – ALL SITES HAVE MIGRATED TO SL5 WNS – Except Subatech, no site currently have SL5 VOBOX – Except Subatech, no site currently have SL5 CREAM-CE – Most of the french T2/T3 are using Quattor to deploy their sites. Most of them do wait for the relevant quattor templates to be released to install those services. A few are working to actually produce those templates (IPNO, IPHC and LPSC). The VOBOX is a matter of days, while the CREAM-CE will most probably be longer.

4. Current Status Russia – SPBU: THE SITE. 2 voboxes migrated to SL5, all WNs migrated to SL5, LCG-CE in parallel to CREAM-CE – JINR: providing a 2 nd VOBOX for CREAM-CE submission soon NL-T1 – WMS versions: all WMS's in NL-T1 are the latest (glite 3.2) versions – CREAM versions: the CREAM CE at NL-T1 is also the latest version – all WNs in NL-T1 are running SL5 or compatible (CentOS 5) OS – The VO boxes at both SARA and Nikhef part of the T1 will be glite 3.2, SL5/compatible by the end of next week (week 46)

5. Current Status RAL – Fully migrated to SL5 – VOBOX in SL5 already available – 2 nd VOBOX in about 1-2 weeks
