11 Competency Based Learning - DEBK The fundamentals of financial accounting and being a Chartered Accountant rely on understanding double entry book-keeping (DEBK). On a day-to-day basis you will be using double entry book-keeping; it is a core element of your financial accounting exam at CAP1, but also at CAP2 and FAE.

26 Accounting Technicians Secure a qualification as an Accounting Technician - apply to study directly with Accounting Technicians Ireland. Studies normally take 2 years. Once you have satisfactorily passed the Accounting Technicians Ireland exams you can accumulate the work experience required to qualify and work as an Accounting Technician, or apply to study with Chartered Accountants Ireland. How to apply? Apply directly to Accounting Technicians Ireland – Not CAO

27 Accounting Technicians Ireland Apprenticeships School-leavers and employers seeking a career in professional and financial services now have a viable alternative to the traditional full-time college route. Applicants are now welcome to get started with the Accounting Technician Apprenticeship, which puts them on the fast track to a career in accounting. They can ‘ earn while they learn ’ and gain valuable experience in major accounting firms as well as small practice. How to apply? Apply directly to Accounting Technicians Ireland – Not CAO
