1 Make up Lab Brownies C. Kingsbury

Kingsbury Date Submitted 9/5/11 Creative Foods Date absent 9/2/11 Lab missed: Brownies Recipe: Dark Chocolate Raspberry Brownies 350 degrees 19-25 minutes ¾ cup all purpose flour 1 cup granulated sugar ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa ½ cup brown sugar ½ tsp baking powder 6 tablespoons melted butter 2 large eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract

3 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Gather all of the equipment and ingredients. Measure the flour, cocoa, sugar, brown sugar, and baking powder.Whisk dry ingredients together into a uniform mixture.

4 In a liquid measuring cup, measure melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Fold the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix just until combined.

5 Bake in the oven for 19-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Clean up while waiting for delicious brownie goodness Finished product. Allow brownies to cool for 15 minutes before cutting, so you will have even edges.

6 I had to use an egg substitute for the brownies because my daughter is allergic. As a result, the brownies were very soft and fell apart easily. Harper didn't seem to mind, however I did not enjoy the texture. In the end we ate them anyway because they are still brownies!
