Housekeeping Please feel free to ask questions at any point of the presentation. Be patient, we will acknowledge your questions, it just may take a moment

Objectives By completing this module, you will: System Design Reports Purpose and benefits of System Design Reports Review of each system Design report to include: Alarm System Design Configuration History Data Controller Design EDR Template Design Parameter Detail Performance Summary Design Permit System Design Understand how to access System Design Reports

Accessing System Design Reports

Reports Menus Two methods to access the system design reports Reports section of the task explorer Reports menu

Selecting Reports Whether accessed using the Reports Menu option or the Reports Task Explorer option, hover your mouse over System Design to launch the System Design reports menu.

Available Reports This report shows the calculation settings, compliance limits, and reason/action codes applicable to Permit requirements. This configuration report lists Performance Summary configuration details as defined in StackStudio. It displays the StackVision performance criteria that is mapped to each parameter. It displays all settings in a simple one-page format that can be easily printed or exported Lists all the configuration details concerning the parameters divided into the following sections: Base Settings (3 sections—Base Settings (2 sections) and Calibration Settings) Equation Settings Part 75 – Base Settings Part 75 – Missing Data Calculated Parameters Part 75 – Accumulated Parameters Linearity, RATA, NOx Correlation, Opacity, and Sorbent Trap parameters This report provides a summary of the configuration settings in your EDR templates. It displays which StackVision parameters are mapped or utilized for XML EDR reporting. It displays all settings in a simple one-page format that can be easily printed or exported. The report is available solely from within StackVision, so if you do not have access to StackStudio but still need to view EDR template settings, you can do so with this report This report provides basic controller information. It also provides detailed design settings for channels, digital inputs, digital outputs, digital events, calibration sequences, alarming, and analog outputs. This report provides information about system exceptions, digital input alarms, and polled average alarms The report returns all Configuration History data. No date range is needed. The report returns the Plant Name, Date/Time, Username, and Comments.

The Alarm System Design Report Provides information on three sections of alarm settings 1.System Exceptions 2.Digital Input Alarms 3.Polled Averages Document Map

Configuration History When changes are made in StackStudio AND saved to the server, a comment box must be completed These comments are visible in the Configuration History Report. Date and Time of change being saved, user name of user saving the configuration and comments are listed in this report

Selecting Report Parameters Other fields such as Plant, Source, Parameter, Interval, etc. are considered “Cascading Parameters.” These fields will show only items filtered on a query for those particular items. Some of these fields allow you to select a single item where others will allow multiple items or all items in the list to be selected. The parameter section or header for each report will vary, dependent on the report selected. This parameter selection allows users to specify which data you want in your report, and it contains fields for Start Date, End Date, Plant, Source, Parameter, etc. The “Show Report” button will be unavailable (grayed) if a required field has not been completed. Required fields will have red asterisks beside them. Likewise, those marked with a red asterisk require selection prior to advancing to the next fields.

Data Controller Design Report This report contains the most data related to your system configuration and is separated into 8 sections. Controller Basics Channels Validations Calibrations Average Alarms Analog outputs Math Constants Digital events, inputs and outputs.

Controller Basics Controller Basics is where you will find the specifics for the Data Controller; Model Number Identifier DAS port Number of, current, voltage, input, outputs and metrological cards installed in the controller

Channels Configured channels are arranged by the corresponding channel type.

Intervals and Storage This section displays the associated data averaging interval (Base, Avg1, Avg2) and the amount of storage time the data will be kept in the data controller. Base Average Time interval Channel number, name and type Average 1 interval Average 2 interval Time retained in Data Controller

Validations This section displays conditions (instantaneous) and limits (average) that will cause data validation flags to be assigned to the data. Instantaneous Validation Average Validation Data Validity is indicated by the data controller flags. The instantaneous validation is seen as B, F, M, C, etc., while the average validations corresponds with a data average interval being exceeded

Calibration Sequences Calibration Sequences displays all sequences used in the configuration. Sequences are listed in two subsections: Name Phase details.

Data Controller Alarms Two types of alarms Calibration- applies to particular channels and conditions (drift, ooc, abort and rescale) and will set digital inputs as a result.

Data Controller Alarms Average Alarms Monitor particular channels for flags, sets digital outputs.

Analog Outputs The analog outputs section displays the output number, input channel details, current output and action to take on invalid flag.

Math Constants Math constants are constant in name only. For example, K3 may be associated with fuel sample data-today K3=4500, however, tomorrow K3 may = 2950. When used in equations, the math constant values are used. So, (CO2*GCO2)*K3/55 would use (CO2*GCO2)*4500/55.

Digitals Digital events, inputs and outputs are displayed in the same section of the report.

EDR Template Design The EDR Template report displays settings corresponding with the required XML elements, Daily Test Summary Data Hourly Operating Data Derived Hourly Value Hourly Fuel Flow Monitoring locations, or units, are listed separately

Parameter Detail Report This report is also a lengthy report due to the number of sections contained in the report. A document map is available for easy navigation.

Base Settings Each parameter has the same base type settings Channel number Unit ID UOM Data Controller details parameter group QA data decimal and rounding Graph min/max

Calibration Settings The calibration settings provide a high level of calibrated parameters only. Sequences, phases and other details are reported in the Data Controller System Design Report.

Equation Settings All equations used in calculating parameters are displayed in this section of the report. These equations can also be seen in the summary property tab of the selected parameters in CEMScape.

Part 75 Settings There are 3 sections associated with 40CFR75: Part75 base settings include validation, components, method codes, cert dates and other Part 75 QA settings. Part 75 Missing Data Parameters display those parameters which use Part 75 missing data procedures, including which approach is used and MPC/MEC Part 75 Accumulated Parameters display those parameters that are used for reporting accumulated parameters.

Linearity and RATA Parameters Two small sections of the report, Linearity and RATA parameters list those parameters that require the associated QA tests.

NOx Correlation and Opacity Parameters For those units using NOx correlation and Opacity reporting, associated parameters are listed in the final two sections of the Parameter Detail report.

Performance Summary Report The Performance Summary Report provides the necessary components for reporting source performance under 40CFR60.7(d) and can display: Incidents grouped by reason code or by a special grouping table (configured within StackStudio) Exceedances Downtime events (if correctly flagged) Total operating time Duration percentages for all grouped incidents Used for all non-opacity parameters Parameters and other settings for this report must be established in StackStudio.

Performance Summary Example

Permit System Design This report shows the calculation settings, compliance limits, and reason/action codes applicable to Permit requirements.

Permit Calculations The Permit Calculations table provides a listing of all parameters that have been configured for central-only calculations and/or permit compliance reporting:

Permit Limits The Permit Limits table provides a design summary of all parameters that have been configured for permit calculations The report lists all instances even if a limit value and criteria has not been applied

Reason and Action Codes The Reason Codes and Action Codes tables provide a basic listing of all codes and descriptions as configured in the system

Sneak Peek! Available in StackVision version 3.16 QA Test Status Report This report summarizes the status of QA compliance tests (RATA, CGA, and Linearity). The report output lists the source, parameter, system ID / component ID, test type, test reason, test result, and the test end date/hour. This report is under QA/Certification reports. (Not system design reports)
