3. 3 The EOY (End of Year) conference provides for the appraiser and the teacher to summarize the year and to collect information that will provide evidence to score Domain 4 of the T-TESS rubric and to discuss next year’s goal(s) and professional development plan. Purpose

4. 4 The End of Year Conference allows the teacher to share their thoughts on the year’s progress and plan forward Teachers should celebrate accomplishments and acknowledge areas of growth The End of Year Conference may not be waived EOY Conferences

5. 5 Unlike Domains 1-3, Domain 4: Professional Practices and Responsibilities, is not scored in summative form by the evaluator until after the teacher has been afforded the opportunity to present evidence related to the four dimensions during the EOY Conference. 6. 6 Effective End of Year Conferences can be structured in may different ways. The following is an example of one way an End of Year Conference can be structured. Teachers share evidence and artifact for Domain 4 Brief and Review of final observation scores for Domains 1, 2, & 3 Acknowledge professional progress and area of reinforcement Discuss area of refinement Determine Goals and plan for next school year What to Expect in EOY Conferences?

8. 8 Professional Practices and Responsibilities Domain 4 Professional Demeanor and Ethics (Dimension 4.1) The teacher meets district expectations for attendance, professional appearance, decorum, procedural, ethical, legal and statutory responsibilities. Goal Setting (Dimension 4.2) The teacher reflects on his/her practice. Professional Development (Dimension 4.3) The teacher enhances the professional community. There will be some necessary culture shifts to establish a new mind set for the relationship with appraisals and supporting teachers. Everyone in the school community is a public learner.
