6 6  LASNTG – Local Authority Services National Training Group  A local authority shared services training network  5 Regional Training Centres owned, managed and operated by Local Authorities LASNTG – who we are

7 LASNTG Training Centres  In 1993 the Water Services Training Group was established. Recommendations included the establishment of a Training Centre Network around the Country.  In 1996, the Minister for the Environment and Local Government approved the plan for setting up five Training Centres in Ballincollig, Roscrea, Castlebar, Stranorlar and Dublin.  A comprehensive programme of courses has been developed for a broad range of disciplines.  Water  Roads  Environment  Fire (new)  Libraries (new)  Wider range and private sector role helps ensure sustainability and ultimately beneficial for local authorities
