Essay Writing Sample 1 My Idea of a University Arts Festival
For my part, university arts festival is very good for us university students for two main reasons. It can make our university life more colorful, and it can also provide chances by which we can show our abilities. For one thing, university Arts Festival can add more interest to our university life...
21
Essay Writing Sample 2 My Idea of A University Arts Festival
In my oppinion, the arts festival of university should be more particular and colorful. As the arts festival is held for all students, so we should plan it to let every one join it. First, in the beginning of the program, we can invite 20 people to stand at the stage to pose a very beautiful mordel. Then six of them can sing a sentence of a song one by one, the others will sing together after them. Second, I think that we should collect the programs from all students. There are always the same persons to play the programs every year. It is very boring, so I suggest that. Because in our school, there are many versatile persons, they have many special ideas. If we can adopt their ideas or programs, I think our arts festival will be more interesting. Third, before the end of the program, we can play some games, and let the arts festival end with laughing. To sum up, we should hold the arts festival with all students. Let every persons can show themselves.
22
Essay Writing Sample 3 My Idea of a University Arts Festival
As the arts festival is approaching, I would like to contribute my ideas to it. There're many ways for the arts festival to be a successful one. As far as I am concerned, the most important is to add some cosplays (Costume Play)to the arts festival. There are two main reasons. First, acting in cosplays can help students form team-spirit which is very important in our future career. One must not only perform his own role, but also cooperate with others well in order to perform a good: cosplay. Second, students may further understand the works through cosplays. To those who act in cosplays, only by understanding the meaning between lines can they act well thus convey the author’s spirit to the spectators. To those who watch cosplays, they will have a deeper impression since cosplays are so picturesque. As what has been discussed above, it will be wise for a university arts festival to include cosplays, which also show the all-round development of university students.
23
Essay Writing Sample 4 My Idea of a University Arts Festival
I suggest that the arts festival be made up of various parts which are the typical forms of college activities such as performance, forums, and lectures on art. The most significant part is the opening performance. There must be a strict selection of the programs that are to be given at the opening ceremony. And the whole performance ought to be directed by someone who has professional experiences. The programs should include; singing, dancing, instrument playing and so on. But only art performance is not sufficient for an arts festival. So we shall invite some famous artists and professor of art department to give lectures to students to introduce art knowledge to them as well as the important relationship between art and life. Lectures and forums ought to be well organized and open to anyone who is interested. All these activities need a detailed proposal for fining sponsors and an advertising plan all over the campus. In a word, the festival should be of great contents and proper forms. Different parts and forms are going to make it a wonderful arts festival.
24
Essay Writing Sample 5 My idea of a university arts festival
Life in campus should be filled with diversity and creativity. As a member of students who are bored with the endless study, I'm very excited to be informed that there' 11 be an arts festival next semester. Personally speaking, the arts festival can be composed of three major activities: painting show, music performance and games. On painting show students can draw anything they like on a large white paper on the first floor of teaching building. There will be no limitations of painting styles or methods. The theme of this painting show can be "paintings with no pains". At the end of this show some students should be volunteer to clean the floor and get rid of the rubbish. What's more, since many students can play the musical instruments, they will be invited to form a temporary band and compose a song for our university. At that time every student will have the opportunity to show their music talents. Last but not least, games are always crucial in any entertainment events. Students'11 be asked many questions concerning different cultures and customs of other countries. Prizes and souvenirs are plentiful and should be colorfully decorated. Above-mentioned statements are my ideas of this arts festival. I'll appreciate it very much if the Students' Union can give me the feedback or any comments on my suggestions. I hope we can hold a successful and wonderful arts festival.

Essay Writing Sample 11 We Should Keep a Good Mood
According to a survey, people are becoming more and more forgettable than years ago. They may forget eating dinner or mothers' birthday. The reason for this is the pressure from education, career and family. In my view, no matter how many reasons we may have, we should keep a good mood at any time. The most important reason for this view is that many people forget too many details in their daily life. They forget they should eat three times a day; they forget they should show their care to their loved ones. As a result, they can't keep healthy or they lose their loved ones. In addition, many people forget the tasks their boss asked them to do. As a result, they lose that job. Keeping a good memory is a good attitude towards life. People will be a good student, a worker, a mother..., if he or a she keeps a good mood at any time

Practice (I) The Best Way to Solve Pollution from Vehicles
Directions: It is now generally accepted that vehicles (cars, trucks, etc.) are a major source of air pollution in cities . There are several ways to solve the problem, like limiting the number of vehicles, and using smokeless fuel. What’s your suggestion as the best solution.
57
Practice (I) You are to write in three parts:
In the first part, state specifically what your idea is. In the second part, provide one or two reasons to support your idea. In the last part, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or a summary
58
Practice (II) Directions: Nowadays students tend to look up for a word in an electronic dictionary more than in a printed dictionary. So, some believe electronic dictionaries will kill printed ones. What is your opinion? Write a composition of about 200 words on the following topic: Will Electronic Dictionaries Kill Printed Dictionaries? You are to write in three parts: In the first part, state specifically what your idea is. In the second part, provide one or two reasons to support your idea. In the last part, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or a 'summary
59
Practice (I) (A Sample Composition)
Cities are not as clean as they were 10 years ago, which has become a serious problem deserving our great concerns. One important source of air pollution, generally believed, is vehicles, which emit a large amount of waste gases into the air. To solve the problem, many and varied proposals have been presented, like limiting the number of vehicles, and using smokeless fuel. My advice is that electricity replacing fuel should be an effective way to solve pollution from vehicles.
60
Practice (I) Electricity contributes to the solution to vehicle pollution for two reasons. The first reason is that electricity is a clean power. Unlike fuel containing toxics harmful to life and environment, electricity will not emit any such waste gases. Many electricity-powered bicycles have appeared which have made our cities cleaner. The second reason is that electricity may make the air protection sustainable. In the long run, electricity is more easily available than fuel. Compared with fuel exploration, which depends on the limited reservoir of crude oil in the sea or on the land, electricity can be generated widely from wind, water, and coal. If some technological difficulties are solved, I believe electricity will certainly be a way to replace fuel as driving power.
61
Practice (I) From the above evidence, we can easily see the prospect electricity may bring us in solving the problem of vehicle pollution. We are expecting a cleaner world.
62
Sample Composition Analysis
Electronic Dictionaries Will NOT Kill Printed Dictionaries A large number of students are using electronic dictionaries to study English. They hold that it is light to carry and convenient to find the meaning of a new word. Some people even think that such dictionaries will replace printed ones. But I don't think so.
63
Practice (II) (A Sample Composition)
My view that electronic dictionaries will not replace printed ones lies in the following aspects. Firstly, printed dictionaries cannot be replaced by electronic ones for its much richer content. We know that in a printed dictionary, almost all aspects of a word are introduced: its usage and the situation in which it is used, its translation, its etymology, the comparison with other words, and of course a lot of examples to illustrate its usage. What's more a printed dictionary may provide us with the denotation and connotation of a word, so that we can learn to use it properly. But an electronic dictionary cannot spare too much room for such detailed information for a word.
64
Practice (II) (A Sample Composition)
Second, printed dictionaries cannot be replaced by electronic ones for its low cost. An electronic dictionary costs us at least 300 Yuan if we expect it has some functions to meet our daily use. Compared with it, the most expensive printed one will cost us only around 100 Yuan. For the sake of the rich content and low price of a printed dictionary, I insist that it should not be killed by an electronic dictionary.
65
Composition Writing Directions: Nowadays students tend to look up for a word in an electronic dictionary more than in a printed dictionary. So, some believe electronic dictionaries will kill printed ones. What is your opinion? Write a composition of about 200 words on the following topic: Will Electronic Dictionaries Kill Printed Dictionaries? In the last part, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or a summary
66
Composition Writing Directions: Every July is the time for graduates to decide whether to further study or to find a job. Some students take part in graduate entrance examination, but others want to work as soon as they graduate. Suppose you were to graduate, which one do you prefer?
67
Sample Composition Analysis
Which to Choose: to Further Study or to Find a Job? A survey says that in recent years more and more students enter for postgraduate entrance examination. But many people argue against the tendency. They hold that to find a good job soon after graduation is more practical. Actually, different people have different opinions as to the question whether we should further study in graduate school or we should begin work, because both have their advantages and disadvantages.
68
Sample Composition Analysis
Many people appreciate the bright future a master's degree may bring to them. Three years' accumulation of knowledge is more likely to enable them to solve more challenging problems. And it is a fact that in many cases a graduate has more chances to get a promotion, and to have high salary than an undergraduate. But a promising job after college graduation is also attractive, especially when the job hunting competition becomes more and more fierce. A job in hand is worth two in the future. Another three years' study means a delay but more heated competition with others later.
69
Sample Composition Analysis
However, both of them have their own problems. Academic study in graduate school may be difficult for a freshman from college who has no practical experience, which may be also a problem when they search for a job three years later. Those without a master's experience may come across many problems too, like special knowledge inefficiency, and research ability inadequacy.
70
Sample Composition Analysis
As far as I am concerned, I want to be more knowledgeable and capable through postgraduate study. So, given me the chance, I would choose to further study in graduate school.
71
Composition Writing Directions: After graduation, some students prefer to go to work in some developed cities like Beijing and Shanghai , while others want to go to West China. Where do you want to work?
72
Sample Composition Analysis
Where to Work: Developed Cities or West China? To respond to the call of the government, many graduates have gone to West China to work these years. But many students still say frankly that they would choose developed cities like Beijing and Shanghai to work. People are so distinct in the choice of work place because both working in developed cities and working in West China have their own advantages and disadvantages.
73
Sample Composition Analysis
Many people appreciate the privileges the developed cities may bring to them. The developed cities may offer them more opportunities to get a good job and earn more money. And the advanced working facilities may make their work more comfortable. Nevertheless, working in West China is also very attractive. They will have more chances to learn the practical problems in poverty-stricken western areas. And therefore their abilities to solve problems will be improved.
74
Sample Composition Analysis
Both working in big cities and in less developed West China may have some problems. You have to bear the working pressure from the heated competition in big cities, and you have to bear the poor working, transportation, and communicating conditions in West China.
75
Sample Composition Analysis
As far as I am concerned, I would like to have the chance to improve my abilities and to contribute what I can to the development of West China. Therefore, I would choose to work in West China.
76
Composition Writing Directions: In the recent years, graduates are facing greater challenge in job markets. What are the possible reasons in your opinion? Write a composition of about 200 words on the following topic: Why Graduates Have Difficulties in Finding Jobs
77
Sample Composition Analysis
Why do College Students Have Difficulty in Finding Jobs? In recent years college graduates are facing greater challenge in job market. To avoid such an embarrassment, many students even choose to further their study to wait for another three years for a possible job opportunity . The reasons for the employment difficulties lie in the following three aspects.
78
Sample Composition Analysis
Firstly, the enlarged college enrollment supplies more than enough graduates with a certain specialty. There has been an overabundance of executive secretaries, lawyers, etc. Therefore in the contest for a single position by tens of hundred graduates, most will suffer the failure. speciality
79
Sample Composition Analysis
Secondly, job-finding difficulty also comes from the curricula design of many colleges. They have not adjusted their majors and subjects to meet the demand of modern society, so that students cannot find a position in the market to apply their knowledge in practice.
80
Sample Composition Analysis
Thirdly, I believe the difficulties also come from graduates themselves. The job demands are quite unbalanced between developed areas and underdeveloped areas. A large number of graduates would rather stay jobless in big cities than take positions in small or underdeveloped cities.
81
Sample Composition Analysis
Taking all these reasons into account, we'd like to suggest that the government should have a micromanagement in college enrollment and major design, and students should have a broader and more reasonable view about careers.
82
Recently pollution has become the focus of the society
Recently pollution has become the focus of the society. One of the most serious pollution is vehicle problem. Different people have different views on how to solve the car pollution. some people think that the manuufacture can make the vehicle to use electric instead of oil. others hold the government to limit the people use it. From my point of view, I believe the best way to solve the car pollution is to change the car’s machine and make them to use solar energy.
