20 Phoenix named one of “Asia’s 500 Most Influential Brands ” For the 10 th Straight Year Source: “Meet Boss” magazine, September, 2016 For ten years in a row, Phoenix has been named one of “Asia’s 500 Most Influential Brands”. The list of honors was announced in Hong Kong on September 26, 2016. Phoenix again made it into the Big Four of media brands, alongside CCTV, NHK from Japan and HBS from China, marking its 11th consecutive year on the list. The list comprises 500 brands from 35 industries across 20 countries and regions in Asia. There are 55 brands from the media, while 208 brands out of the 500 come from China (including Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau), the country with the highest number of selected brands. The selection is jointly organised by the magazine “World Entrepreneur” and World Brand Laboratory led by Nobel Laureate Robert Mundell, also known as “the Father of the Euro”. Brand influence in Asia is measured by key indicators such as market share, brand loyalty and Asian leadership etc.

Out of the 500 media companies, a total of 87 enterprises from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau were chosen. That made China, overtaking Japan again, the country with the most awarded companies in Asia and second to the US in the world. The award has entered its third year. From over 3,000 companies worldwide, 500 were selected based on their revenues in 2014. 47 Q iu Zhen Hai Commentator He currently hosts programs “Peter Qiu’s Talk” and “Strategy Room”. Qiu demonstrates his expertise in analyzing international issues, particularly regarding European affairs and Sino-European relationships. Recently he has begun to focus on China’s diplomatic orientation, Sino-US relations, Sino-Japanese relations, Cross-strait issues and the Korean Peninsula. His newspaper articles are often published in different languages abroad. Previous to joining Phoenix, he was senior journalist with Wen Wei Pao and worked for Deutsche Welle.
