9. ACCELERATION Accelerating abilities from a standing start over a distance of 75 meters.

10. AUTOCROSS Car maneuverability and handling qualities The course combine all the performance features of acceleration, braking and cornering.

11. SKID-PAD Measure the car’s cornering ability on a flat surface while making a constant- radius turn. The course is in form of number 8, to demonstrate how lateral forces are absorbed.

GENERAL DESIGN REQUIREMENTS The vehicle must be open-wheeled and open-cockpit (a formula style body) with four (4) wheels that are not in a straight line. TECHNICAL REGULATIONS – ELECTRIC VEHICLES The maximum voltage permitted in the Formula SAE Electric is 300 VDC. Only electric motors are allowed. Any type of electrical motor is allowed. The number of motors is not limited. The maximum power of the battery must not exceed 80 kW.
