3 Understandest thou what thou Readest? Acts 8:30”And Philip ran thither to him (The Ethiopian Eunuch) And said, Understandest thou what thou readest?”

4 THE EUNUCH WAS READING FROM ISAIAH THE PROPHET Did he understand what he was reading?\ No…How can I, except someone should guide me? Acts 8:31

5 SOME THINGS ARE HARD TO UNDERSTAND Peter about Paul’s epistles 2 Pet. 3:16 16 As also in all his (Paul’s) epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

6 UNDERSTANDEST THOU WHAT THOU READEST? How can we understand what we read?

7 READ IT!! Eph. 3:3-4 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

8 LISTEN TO IT!! in Isaiah 66:2 “But to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.” God is looking for people who have a holy reverence for the Word and His plan for learning and applying it

9 STUDY IT!! 2 Tim.2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God,a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

10 PONDER IT (CONSIDER IT)!! Isa. 1:18 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the L ORD : though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool

11 MEDITATE UPON IT!! I Tim.4:15 15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

12 HAVE THIS ATTITUDE: If God said it, I believe it. I may not understand ‘how’ He does some things, But I believe he does what He says!.

13 IS JESUS THE SON OF GOD? Answer: Yes 1. What does the Bible say? 2. God claims Him to be His Son. Matt. 17:1-5 3. The Bible over and over claims that Jesus is God’s Son. Do you understand that?

14 DO YOU BELIEVE THAT A PERSON “MUST” BELIEVE IN JESUS? Answer: Yes. John 8:24 24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. John 12:48 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

15 CAN YOU BE SAVED BY BELIEVING ONLY? Answer: No. James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

16 HOW MANY CHURCHES ARE THERE? Answer: ONE. Matt.16:18 Upon this rock, I will build my Church! Acts 20: 28

17 WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT THE WAY CHRISTIANS LIVE? Answer: Be different. Rom. 12:1,2 Matt.5:16 I Pet. 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy!

18 WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT WOMEN &IMMODEST APPAREL? I Tim. 2:9-10 9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works

20 WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY TO MEN!! I Tim.2: 8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

21 WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT OUR THOUGHTS? Answer: Proverbs 23:7Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Phil. 4:87 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

22 WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT ATTENDING WORSHIP 1. God loves to be worshipped. 2. God has taught us how to worship, In Spirit and in Truth. John 4:23,24 3. God has taught us what ‘vain worship ‘ is. Mtt. 15:9 4. God has taught us when to worship. Acts 20:7; Heb. 10:23-25

23 OUR PROBLEM MANY TIMES IS NOT THAT WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND- But our unwillingness to obey what we are taught. Heb. 5:8,9

24 We don’t have to understand how God does it…we have to understand that God commands It and we MUST DO IT to please Him!!

25 How can a person be buried in a grave, and then, go back to the dust Of the earth…and yet, be raised up out of the grave? I don’t understand how God does that…but He said it, and I believe it. Abraham believed God without understanding how God would do It…Offer the promised son Isaac, and yet the only son of this old Couple. Gen. 22:3-14 God said of Abraham: “Now I know that thou fearest God…

26 .How did Noah’s Ark stay afloat?.How did God cause Sarah to be able to have a child at 90 years of age?.How did God save Jonah in the big fish? How Could Daniel be thrown into a Lion’s den..and not get harmed? How could people march around walls of Jericho l3 times & it fall down flat?

27 HOW DOES GOD WASH AWAY SINS IN BEING BAPTIZED? Mark16:15-16 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.. Acts 22:16 16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
