5. Apace Airavata Open Middleware Airavata acts as the middleware for communications between gateways and super computers (clusters). Airavata is a open source development project under Apache. Airavata supports; – Multi-Tenancy – Multiple gateways supported by common Airavata middleware instance – Configuration interfaces to add new HPC resources and Register Applications in Airavata supported gateways. – Secure Communications & Credential Management. – Each gateway can manage their own credentials for communication with super computers. – Robust checkpoint and restart capability at the infrastructure level – Gateway Operator Administrator Dashboard, Application catalog, Credential management, User management, Gateway operations monitoring.
