4  With more free time and disposable income, urban people looked for new sources of entertainment:  Nickelodeons – Name for movie theaters (because it only cost a nickel to get in.  During the 1920s, 60-100 million people went to movies each week.

8 - Organized sports became more popular, Americans made celebrities out of star athletes - Jim Thorpe was considered one of the greatest athletes of the 1920s - Babe Ruth would become one of baseball’s greatest homerun hitters.
