3 GROUP ACTIVITY Divide up into small groups of 3 or 4. Each group member says a number 1 through 3 and/or 4. The number you are corresponds with your role: student #1, student #2, and student #3 and/or #4 Roles: Student #1: You've made a commitment to spend the weekend working on your part of a class project that's due Monday. Student #2: You are a friend who wants student #1 to go on a weekend camping trip instead of working on the project. Student #3 and/or #4: You depend on student #1 to do his/her part to complete your group’s class project that is due Monday. Role play: Student #1 can't do both, so student #2 tries to convince student #1 to choose to go on the camping trip. After being persuaded by student #2, student #1 agrees to go camping and must explain to student #3 and/or #4 why his/her part of the class project did not get finished. After the role play: Each group takes time to discuss and analyze what each person did to get what they wanted. Class discussion: What general principles or guidelines can be drawn from this role-playing incident about responsibility?
