1 Why was…? (8 mark question) – Explanation of a historical development You have to make a reasoned judgement on the topic in the question. The question does not want a 2-sided response. 2 Possible questions to answer: 1. Why was Stresemann important to the economic recovery of Germany between 1924-1929? 2. Why was Stresemann important to the political developments within Germany between 1924-1929? 3. Why was Stresemann important for Germany’s foreign policy between 1924-1929? You have to answer one of these In your response you need to give reasons why Stresemann would be important in whatever the question asks! 8 mark question = spend roughly 12 minutes in exam (today I will give you 15 minutes to work on this)

2 Peer marking level 2 -mostly a descriptive answer, limited attempt at analysis of the issue and weak explanation (3-4 marks) Level 3 – more detailed and accurate analysis of the issue with clear explanation although not throughout whole answer (5-6 marks) Level 4 –detailed and accurate analysis with a reasoned explanation which is sustained throughout. Addresses the focus of the question clearly. (7-8 marks)

9 Task for the rest of lesson Write a report dated 1929 for a British journal/audience to inform on who the Nazis are and what they represent Use pages 34-35 and 44-45 of white to aid in this task In your report make sure to describe also how the Nazi party increased its party membership between 1924-1929.
