9 ACTIVITIES…POST IT NOTE 1 1.In your exam paper, turn to question ‘Religion, War and Peace’ QUESTION 5 2.Write down the questions on the page that you DON’T know the answer/s to 3.Write your revision target onto your pink post it note 4.If you know the answer to all the questions, begin answering all the questions and then mark them using the mark scheme

11 REVISION SKILLS 1.Look at Question 5 – Religion, War and Peace 2.On post it note one, write down all of the questions you know the answers to 3.On post it note two, write down the questions you don’t know the answers to 4.On post it note two and three (and back if you need space) write down all the answers to the questions. 16 I disagree with this statement because I believe going to war will lead to loss of life. Taking a human life is immoral and causes suffering to family and friends of those taken. War encourages people to be greedy and strive for land, power, beliefs for all which shouldn’t be forced. Buddhists believe in non-violence, a teaching called Ahimsa (P). This means that due to the teachings of the Buddha, war is wrong and violence is wrong in all situations because they believe in Samsara (E)and that all life is interconnected in a cycle of life, death and rebirth. (E) However, Mahayana Buddhists believe that war may take place if it is the lesser of two evils, such as saving lives. ‘IT IS RIGHT TO GO TO WAR’
