2 www.bud.hu Research Framework Face-to-face interviews at gates - T1, T2A &T2B Departing Passengers (originating and transfer) Interviews in Hungarian, English, Romanian, Russian and German Interviewing 06 45 to 21 00 hours, incl. weekends No. of interviews: 1400 interviews in every quarter (except 2009 Q1: 800 interviews) Quota for interviews by numbers associated with each destination The goal of the survey is to examine the composition of passengers and to get detailed information about evaluations of Budapest Airport facilities

3 www.bud.hu Passengers’ profiles - Conclusions The socio-demographic composition of passengers in Q1 2010 is similar to that of last year: People with a higher social status prove to be over- represented On the whole, the majority of passengers using Budapest Airport are foreign citizens, though terminals do differ mainly with regard to citizenship The proportion of Hungarian passengers is greatest at T1, correlating with the usage of discount airlines; their rate increased in the first quarter of 2010 compared to in preceding quarters During the last year, passengers at T2A/B terminals enjoy a higher social status in comparison with T1 due to there being a lower number of Hungarians. In Q1 2010, the rate of people with a higher social status increased at T2B among Hungarians, too - while it showed a decrease at T1 also among foreigners
