5 MANAGEMMENT OF THE TRAINING INTERVENTION MANAGEMENT OF ROLL OUT PLAN AND SUBMISSION Provide complete learning programs with implementation plans for outcomes Submit 3party contract to AgriSETA before start of training – the AgriSETA issues letter of approval TRAINING STAFF Provider notifies the AgriSETA of training start date and electronically submit list of learners for loading on the national learner record database. Have available CVs of facilitators. Facilitators shall possess qualifications a level above qualifications a level above the ones they train on.

6 Adequate quality management system POLICIES learner and staffing policies self auditing and review mechanism policies assessment and moderation policies learning development policies GUIDELINES guidelines for implementation of training in line with the policies Providers understand or know their own policies PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES the implementation of plans are well mapped out the trainers/assessors/moderators are orientated on the company’s policies and guidelines

7 WAYFORWARD HOW DO WE ACHIEVE GOOD TRAINING DELIVERY / WHAT MECHANISMS ARE AVAILABLE? Providers forums Assessor and moderator forums Sharing of best practice Unscheduled site visits by the SETA Regular meetings and internal auditing Regular update of assessment and moderation tools

8 Conclusions improved training and delivery Learners acquire skills The employers improve productivity and providers gain good reputation improved assessment and moderation system Proper certification of learners and credit worthy certificates The system gains integrity and affords the providers good image for ethics Acceptable practice improves the provider - client relationship communication Regular communication allows for continuous improvement of the quality of learning
