FLO-DAR OVERVIEW Non-Contact Sensor; no lost data due to fouling No routine maintenance required; confined space entry reduced by 90% or more No profiling required 3 sensors in standard model (radar, ultrasonic, pressure) 4 sensors in 1 housing with SVS option (radar, ultrasonic, electromagnetic, pressure) Accuracy confirmed by Alden Laboratories and many customers Shown with optional SVS sensor

Velocity measurement Radar The sensor measures the surface velocity of the moving liquid by measuring the Doppler Shift. Level Measurement Ultrasonic The FLO-DAR® uses a pulse echo, look-down, ultrasonic transducer to measure the distance from the top of the fluid level to the top of the sensor cradle. HOW THE FLO-DAR® WORKS

Pressure Transducer Surcharge Level The FLO-DAR® uses a pressure transducer to measure surcharge level. Flow is calculated using full pipe measurement with Surcharge Velocity Sensor (SVS) option. Surcharge level HOW THE FLO-DAR® WORKS Surcharge Velocity Electromagnetic Sensor Surcharge velocity is measured using the Surcharge Electromagnetic Velocity Sensor. The SVS turns on when the flow is in full pipe or surcharge condition. Optional

FLO-DAR INSTALLATIONS

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND UPDATE March 2014 FLO-DAR approval varies by country, model number and configuration. Some version of FLO-DAR is available in each of the following countries: – Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Columbia, Puerto Rico

SUCCESS STORIES – GUADALAJARA, MEXICO Raw water coming into treatment plant. Flow rate and total flow displayed on Flo-Station. Non-contact sensors providing maintenance free flow data.

FLO-DAR SUCCESS STORY – MINING THICKENER INFLOW CONTROL Provides process control; optimizes the process saving time/money for operations. Flow is very thick, abrasive, and fast. In-flow sensors, like the Sigma Sub A/V and Isco 2150, cannot withstand the conditions. 17 Iron mining operations Copper mining operations

FLO-DAR COMPETITOR REVIEW: ISCO LASERFLOW Announced at Collections Systems Show; June 2012 Featured at WEFTEC; October 2012 Sales Webinars in Oct, Dec Still no quotes or pricing seen

ISCO LASERFLOW: HOW IT WORKS Ultrasonic Level Positioned at 45  within enclosure to eliminate deadband Laser Velocity Measures velocity at a determined depth “steerable” laser can measure up to 15 points at different depths/locations Surcharge sensor is their Continuous Wave Doppler mounted upside down on the enclosure

ISCO’S POSITION VS. FLO-DAR Isco’s StatementHach Response LaserFlow reads below the surface which is more accurate. 3 rd party data proves Flo-Dar accuracy. No technical reason why surface velocity is a less accurate measurement to derive average velocity. LaserFlow can take multi-point velocity readings. Multi-points result in long measurement time and short battery life. Small (3  ) swing does not add a lot of value. Improved Ultrasonic level with no deadband. Flo-Dar has a pressure sensor that “takes over” when the liquid level enters the deadband and will continue to measure level in surcharge situations. Improved surcharge sensor. Flo-Dar: electromagnetic velocity, pressure level LaserFlow: ultrasound velocity, pressure level Both are proven measurement technologies. vs.

ISCO LASERFLOW WEAKNESSES 1.Keeping the laser optical lens clean and clear. a.High likelihood of fouling or fogging. b.Cumbersome to clean. c.Uses “rain-X”, an optional accessory to defog. 2.High measurement time, Low battery life a.1 minute for a single measurement. b.12 weeks life with 15 min intervals, 2 lanterns. c.A LOT of processing needed. 3.Very little field data to prove its practicality. a.Why risk it? Flo-Dar is PROVEN. Conclusion: LaserFlow = Flo-Dar copycat. Laser as a practical sewer velocity technology is questionable. Flo-Dar is proven.

HACH FH950 PORTABLE VELOCITY FLOW METER WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC SENSOR Benefits Reduce man-hours 50% -- Data logging and file transfer to PC means no more buddy system or labor intensive transfer of written notes to modeling software Optional pressure transducer for depth measurement Automatically calculates total discharge based on USGS and ISO Lowest maintenance solution on the market electromagnetic velocity sensor with no moving parts never requires mechanical maintenance Data Storage for up to 10 profiles and 32 stations per profile
