13 Using the Program Assessment Based on the criteria for the upcoming year. – Training Records – Calendar – Advancement Summary – Previous year Charter Demographics – Leadership and Member Roster Identify opportunities

14 Using the Program an Example Assessment Following the form, the unit determines that they score low in the area of Retention on JTE. Scoutmaster identifies that older scouts want high adventure and backpacking outings

20 Why does JTE Change? Benchmarks Gold status = Top 10% Silver status = 50 - 89% Bronze status = 20 - 49% As units excel in an area the requirements become more challenging Requirements not driving unit excellence are dropped or modified
