EventViewer – OPERA event display A. Chukanov on behalf of EventViewer developpers OPERA physics coordination meeting LNGS, 10 th of March 2008

Functionality and Abilities ➲ general view of OPERA event ➲ detailed event view (zoom, shift) ➲ event navigation ➲ drawing options ➲ brick finding tools ➲ brick finding information ➲ CS to TT tools

General view of EventViewer

Frame description Buttons/options frame Detector view with the daily bricks map Status bar Brick finding information

Drawing options Show hits: Raw, Filtered, Shower Draw:muon track direction hadron jet axis scanned tracks Draw hits in: - energy mode color, bar - particles type (MC only) View in proportional coordinates

«Color» and «bar» energy mode (Bern and Nagoya contribution)

Zooming Event Zoom buttons: In, Out, Vertex, Detector Shift view: Left, Right, Up, Down Options: event appears in the preset zoom mode

Event Navigation ➲ Necessary to install OpListMaker utilite ➲ Event selection from window or command line ➲ Navigate through the files ➲ Navigate over the event list Next or previous event Event number

Brick Finding ➲ Different methods of muon tracks reconstruction ➲ Possibility for manual filtration ➲ Brick finding information

CS to TT connection ➲ Tools for the scanning labs – preliminary location of event tracks candidates ➲ Help for the brick finding (in case of wrong first brick prediction) Showing scanned tracks one by one Nagoya contribution special thanks to Nonoyama-san

Input event list format «plate» event brickId Tan(slopeX) Tan(slopeY) posX posY plate trackId passed color «coord» event brickId Tan(slopeX) Tan(slopeY) posX posY posZ trackId passed color «vertex» event brickId posX posY posZ passed - track passed through the plate 1 or 0 (default 1) posZ - negative, dist from last plate

CS to TT connection

Summary ➲ events selection tools ➲ event view manipulation tools ➲ CS to TT connection ➲ interface for the BrickFinder program EventViewer functionality: Updated version will be committed soon to the OpRelease package Any feedback, suggestions or participation in further development are welcome!
