Think: write down first impression of the poem. Pair: with their pair find 3 reasons why they liked/disliked the poem. Share: Share Ideas with the class. To get students to listen they have to write down the impression of the other student.

The length of the poem – is it short or long?
What words stand out?
Does it rhyme? Are there similes?
