Personal Response Think: write down first impression of the poem. Pair: with their pair find 3 reasons why they liked/disliked the poem. Share: Share Ideas with the class. To get students to listen they have to write down the impression of the other student. Rachel Coughlan

Things you could notice in the poem!
The length of the poem – is it short or long? What words stand out? Does it rhyme? Are there similes? Rachel Coughlan
