Compiled and Illustrated from The Scriptures & The Spirit of Prophecy July 2014 Presents Who are The Three Living Persons of The Heavenly Trio? Part 4

In part three of this study, we saw that the elders and leaders of Israel confessed that The LORD our God did reveal to them HIS Glory and HIS Greatness. They did hear The Voice of HIS Presence out of the midst of the fire. And they did see that day that God do talk with man, and man lives. Notice that Moses was a living example of a man, who talked with GOD by HIS Word, and he lives. Yet, the leaders concluded that if they heard The Voice of GOD anymore they would die, and The Great Fire of The Glory of The Angel of HIS Presence would consume them. The Spirit of Christ, Who was also upon Moses and the seventy elders of Israel, He was also in the prophets, who searched to understand the things that were revealed to them beforehand. They searched to understand the things Christ would suffer, and of the glory that would follow. So they requested that Moses must go and hear all that The LORD will speak to him by HIS Mediator--The Son of GOD, Who is The Only Mediator between GOD and man, and then he--Moses, as their mediator, he will come to them and tell them HIS Will, and they promised that they will hear and do it. The LORD promised by HIS Word, to sent to them a Prophet, Who would speak to them all that The LORD shall speak unto them. And through many prophets, The Word of The LORD revealed to the fathers of Israel The Will of The LORD their God.

The prophets testified of His Life before He lived His Life as a man on earth. Yet, He lived His Life through them. For He is The Source of Life to all, who are sustained in Life by Him. As they suffered, He suffered. For we are all members of His Body in Whom His Spirit dwells. And He ministered to the members of His Sanctuary through them, and GOD spoke by Him to them. We saw one example through the life of David, where GOD--The LORD spoke to David’s Lord--The Christ, Who is The Anointed One of GOD, Who as a Man, He is caught up to the throne of GOD in heaven. His Words were on the tongue of David. He is The Sweet Psalmist, Who spoke by the tongue of David. It is the work of the gospel to reveal to men The Truth of The Gift of Light and Life in Christ, Who by His Spirit works in men to remove the darkness and death, which separates man from being one with GOD. By receiving His Spirit, He gives to men His Power of Light and Life, to become the sons and daughters of GOD by Him. It is for this purpose that it is written of the prophets… The Son of GOD in His natural form is invisible to men. In His divine nature, He is The Expressed Image of The Father, WHO is also invisible to men. And although the world was created by GOD through The Son of GOD, He--The Son of GOD was in the world, but the world knew Him not. He is Light and Life of man. But since man by sin became one with darkness and death, men comprehended not The Light and Life of GOD, Who has been given to men.

“…who prophesied of the grace [that should come] unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into” (1 Peter 1:10-12).

Notice that the prophets who spoke to the fathers of Israel, of the sufferings of Christ, and of the glory to follow, they searched to understand the things that were revealed through them to the generations that came after them. GOD The LORD spoke by The Spirit of HIS Word through His prophets to Israel is The Word of GOD The Spirit of Christ To the fathers of Israel The Spirit of Christ was extending Himself to men through His prophets. And GOD was speaking to men by The Light of HIS Word through them, just as HE spoke to men through Moses and David and the prophets by HIS Word. But GOD by HIS Word of Promise through Moses said that HE will raise up unto Israel a Prophet from the midst of them, of their brethren, like unto Moses. Unto Him they were to hear. Ellen G. White wrote of Him and said… His prophets His prophets

“Jesus Christ laid off His royal robe, His kingly crown, and clothed His divinity with humanity, in order to become a substitute and surety for humanity, that dying in humanity He might by his death destroy him who had the power of death. He could not have done this as God, but by coming as man Christ could die. By death He overcame death. The death of Christ bore to the death him who had the power of death, and opened the gates of the tomb for all who receive Him as their personal Saviour.” (Lift Him Up, Page 345)

Notice that Jesus Christ laid off His royal robe, His kingly crown, and clothed His divinity with His humanity. To understand what Ellen G. White was led to write in these words, let us stop to comprehend what is being said by them. It is said, Christ laid off His Royal Robe. What is His Royal Robe? And what does it mean to lay off His Royal Robe? First, let us look at the meaning of the word “lay off” to understand what it was that He laid off, to clothed His divinity with His humanity. GOD is One with HIS Word And what is His kingly crown?

The word “Laid”, or “Lay” in Hebrew means to:- put, make, set, lay, appoint, give, set up, consider, turn, brought, ordain, place… With the meaning of the words given for “Laid off”, what is His Royal Robe, which He laid off, or stretch out from, to cloth His divinity with His humanity? Speaking of the glory of Christ and of The Father, Paul said of Him… The word “Laid” in Hebrew also means to:- stretch out, incline, turn, stretch forth, turn aside, bow, decline, pitched, bow down, turn away, stretched out still, spread, pervert, stretch, extend, wrest, outstretched, carried aside… Also, the word “off” in Hebrew means:- upon, in, on, over, by, for, both, beyond, against, beside, forth, off, from off… Notice the meaning from both words, and what they reveal. Laid:- brought off:- forth… Laid:- brought off:- forth… to put in to put in to set off to set off The word “Laid” in Greek also means to:- lay, put, lay down, make, appoint, kneel down… And in the Greek the word “off” means:- from, of, out of, for, off, by, at, in, since... It means (of separation of a part from the whole), or (of any kind of separation of one thing from another by which the union or fellowship of the two is destroyed, or broken. to stretch out from to stretch out from

“Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3). “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men” (Philippians 2:5-7).

Notice that The Christ--The Anointed one of GOD, He is The Brightness of GOD’S glory, The Express Image of HIS Person. As a person upholds, and supports, and gives life to the clothes that he wears, all created beings live by The Word of GOD’S Power, and are sustained by Him, Who gives them Life. Notice again what Ellen G. White wrote about Christ, and why it was that He stretch out, and extended Himself, and laid off His Royal Robe to become The Man Christ Jesus. She wrote and said of Him… If Christ Jesus is The Form, or The Express Image of GOD, WHO dwells in and is revealed by Him, to be equal with God, and He made Himself of no reputation to become human, then by having The Power to lay off His Life from Himself, Who is The Brightness of GOD’S glory, The Express Image of GOD’S Person, to be also a form of no reputation, to take upon His divinity the form of a servant, then He is made by His Power to be also in the likeness of men. Notice that Paul made it clear that all things are upheld by His Word of Power. And He has The Power by Himself, to purge our sins from us.

Notice that Jesus Christ laid off His royal robe, to become a substitute and surety for humanity, that dying in humanity He might by his death destroy him who had the power of death. He could not have done this as God. He laid off His Royal Robe of The Brightness of The Light of GOD’S glory, to take the form and likeness of man, who was in darkness and death. To understand what it means for Him to lay off His Kingly Crown, to clothe His divinity in His humanity, the disciple James and the apostle Paul said... GOD Now if His Royal Robe is Light, what does it mean for Him to lay off His Kingly crown? The Son of GOD The Son of GOD The Christ is The Anointed one of GOD, Who came from GOD. He is The Brightness of GOD’S glory, The Express Image of HIS Person.

“Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, [even] thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows” (Hebrews 1:9). “For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). “In him was life; and the life was the light of men” (John 1:4). “Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him” (James 1:12).

Notice that because Christ--The Son of GOD loved righteousness and hated iniquity, God, even His GOD is The ANOINTING OIL of GLADENESS to Him above His fellows. He laid off, or He stretched out, to put Himself off from His Royal Robe of The Brightness of The Light of GOD’S glory, to reach man. He, Who is The Crown of Life to all living things, Paul said of Him... GOD And He laid off, or He stretched out from Himself to put Himself off from His Kingly Crown of Life, to become one like man, who was in darkness and death. The Son of GOD The Son of GOD Christ is The Anointed one of GOD, WHO ANOINTS Him with Light and Life to man.

“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified [are] all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee” (Hebrews 2:9-12).

“And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on [him the nature of] angels; but he took on [him] the seed of Abraham” (Hebrews 2:13-16).

“Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto [his] brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things [pertaining] to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted” (Hebrews 2:17, 18). “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3).

Notice what is revealed to us in this study on The Living Persons of The Heavenly Trio. Through The Son of GOD, GOD created all things. GOD is The Word of GOD The Spirit of Christ All things are sustained in Life by His Power in Him. It is stated that He--The Son of GOD, Who is Crowned with glory and honor from GOD, He is The Light and Life of man. He laid off from Himself, or He has made a body and took part of the form of man, and was made sin for us, or He stretched out Himself to reach man, that through death he might destroy the devil that had the power of death, and deliver man from death back to Life. His Kingly Crown is GOD WHO created all things by HIS Son-- The Word, Who is The Light and Life to all living things. All things were created by Him, and for Him. All things in Heaven All things in Earth Things Visible And Things Invisible Whether they be Thrones or Dominions or Principalities or Powers And because the sin of darkness and death is not of GOD, or of Him…

His divinity His divinity He extended Himself from His Royal Robe, and from His Kingly Crown of Life, to be dependant upon His Spirit for Life in GOD. Notice that The Three Highest Dignitaries of The Heavenly Trio begins with GOD--The Father, WHO has created all things by HIS Son, Who is made The Head of all things. GOD is The Word of GOD The Spirit of Christ It is the work of the gospel to reveal to men The Truth of The Gift of Light and Life in Christ, Who by His Spirit works in those, who receives Him, to remove the darkness and death, which has separated man from being one with GOD. As Ellen G. White said of Him… His Kingly Crown is GOD The Son of GOD, has received Power above all things, to give and sustained Life from Himself. He also took part of the nature of man, who is dependant upon His Light and Life to live. And He took part of the form of man, to become The Head of humanity, and to be a helper to all, who will believe on HIM, WHO sent Him. He clothed His divinity also with His humanity. in His humanity in His humanity also

The death of Christ bore to the death him who had the power of death, and opened the gates of the tomb for all who receive Him as their personal Saviour.” (Lift Him Up, Page 345) Speaking of His Own Spirit from The Father, Jesus said…

“The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave [it] again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears” (Luke 4:18-21). Having received Christ Spirit in him, John testified and said…

“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen [it], and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:1-6).

His divinity His divinity Notice that The Son of GOD has been appointed The Head over all things. He is The Alpha. And He is also The Son of Man--The Divine/Man Christ Jesus. GOD is The Word of GOD The Spirit of Christ His Kingly Crown is GOD The Son of GOD, has received Power above all things, to give and sustained Life from Himself. Christ Jesus manifested Himself to His disciples, who believe on Him, to bear witness of Him. He is The Omega. Yet, He is The Holy One, Whom The Father has sent in both the Old Testament, and the New Testament Time, and is soon to return at His second coming. He is appointed The Head of humanity by being The Second Adam. Paul wrote of Him in both positions and said… One with men in His humanity in His humanity also

“Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses [was faithful] in all his house. For this [man] was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. For every house is builded by some [man]; but he that built all things [is] God. And Moses verily [was] faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end” (Hebrews 3:1-10). As The Spirit of Christ spoke through Isaiah, he said by Him…

“Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and [let] him [be] your fear, and [let] him [be] your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me [are] for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion” (Isaiah 8:13-18).

The Son of Man is Notice that according to Paul’s writings, the house is of the brethren, who are partakers of the heavenly calling. And Christ is both a member, and a Son over His Own House, which we are, if we keep the hope firm unto the end. GOD The Head over all things of GOD The Son of GOD is His Kingly Crown is GOD The Son of GOD, has been appointed Heir of all things. Notice that Paul called Christ Jesus both an Apostle and a High Priest, Who is both a member of His Sanctuary and The Head of The Sanctuary in Whom He dwells. He is appointed also The Head of humanity by being The Second Adam. Paul wrote of Him in both positions and said… The Head Over His House The Head Over His House The House of The partakers of the heavenly calling He is The Apostle and High Priest of His Sanctuary He is The Apostle and High Priest of His Sanctuary

“For it became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified [are] all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee” (Hebrews 2:10-12).

The Son of Man is GOD The Son of GOD is one with The Son of GOD is The One Mediator between GOD and Man They who are sanctified Notice that like His brethren, Jesus was made of flesh, to be a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death, and crowned with glory and honor that He by the grace of God should tasted death for every man. He could not do this as God. Both He He that sanctifies Both He He that sanctifies and are all of one. It became Him…to bring many sons unto glory, to make The Captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both He that sanctifies and they, who are sanctified are all of one. And because He--Himself has suffered being tempted, He is able to help, and be a helper to them that are tempted.

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye [be] Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:26-29). “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3). “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3).
