Research  Singleton M, Differential protective effects of motorcycle helmets against head injury, Traffic Injury Prevention (In press)  Skull fracture, intracranial hemorrhage, cerebral contusion, concussion  Greatest protection against skull fracture (RR=0.31) and cerebral contusion (RR=0.29)  Strong protection also against intracranial hemorrhage (RR=0.49)  Evidence of modest protection against concussion (RR=0.80), though not statistically significant [95% CI (0.64,1.01)]  Conclusion: Motorcycle helmets protect against brain injury, not only skull fracture
