2 Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Common financing instrument of trans-European networks for 2014-2020 Projects of common interest in transport, telecommunications and energy CEF Telecom: competitiveness + interconnection and interoperability of networks + promote access to such networks => support Digital Single Market CEF Telecom = CEF Digital + Broadband CEF Digital = Digital Service Infrastructure (DSI), i.e. trans-European digital services based upon mature technical and organisational solutions DSIs = sector specific + core building blocks 2

6 6 What is CEF.AT? Builds on existing MT service (MT@EC) but not be limited to it (i.e. more MT technologies) Emphasis on secure, quality, customisable MT for DSIs but not be limited to them A multilingualism enabler - not only MT
