Planarian =) Three species: Worm, flatworm, and tapeworm. Size: Most have elongated bodies with rounded or triangular head, and measure 7 to 35 millimeters (about ½ to 1 ½ inches long.)

Habitat :+) Different types of planarians live in streams, lakes, seawater, or damp soil.

Vocabulary <3 elongated:to extend the length of. Bilaterally symmetrical:of, relating to, or affecting the right and left sides of the body or the right and left members of paired organs. Symmetrical:same on both sides.

3Interesting Facts!! 1)tapeworms are one of the most common internal parasites that can only be seen by pet owners. 2) flatworms at least 20 species of flatworms live in vernal pools! 3) if a worm is cut in half, only the part of the body that has the head will live.!

Food Source(MMM.. Flatworms eat other worms.. Worms have little mouths so they bite on very small pieces of bacteria. Tapeworms eat digested food in the body. YYUMMMYYY:+)!!!!

Adaptations Flatworms are adapted to a wide range of environments, in many species are resistant to extreme environmental conditions. Some occur in coastal marine habitats-in sand, others are pelagic(living in the open sea) freshwater species are found in ponds
