13 Mary visits Elizabeth When Elizabeth hears Mary  Elizabeth is filled with the Holy Spirit  She prophesies  Luke 1:42 Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!  Luke 1:45 "Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord." review

19 Birth of John Elizabeth has a son The eighth day they came to circumcise the child They wanted to name him Zacharias after his father Zacharias (who could not speak) asked for a tablet...He wrote ‘His name is John’

21 Zacharias Prophesies [John] Luke 1:76 "And you, child [John], will be called the prophet of the Highest; For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, To give knowledge of salvation to His people By the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace." So the child grew and became strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel.

22 Announcement to Joseph Joseph and Mary were ‘betrothed’ – not married He wanted to put her away secretly  Because she was with child son of David Matthew 1:20 …an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. TODAY??

23 Jesus’ Purpose He will save His people from their sins Matthew 1:21 “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.  “God with us”

24 Jesus Christ Jesus Christ Matthew 1:1 The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham Jesus who is called Christ Matthew 1:16 And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ. Jesus Christ Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: The term Christ is a title; it is the New Testament equivalent of the Old Testament term messiah and means anointed one.
