4. The diagram God is the center. He is the focal point. Everything comes from Him and worship flows back to Him. Everything brings glory to him. In his presence all is perfect worship. He is always on the throne. He is in control.

5. God on the Throne Chapter 4- God is worshipped for his work of creation. Chapter 5- God the Son, the redeemer is worshipped for his work of the new creation (salvation).

6. The scroll with 7 seals Show visual. In God’s right hand- decree from God. Sealed- official document. 7-perfect. An official document that contains the perfect counsel or decree of God.

7. Who can open the Scroll? Who can bring to pass the decree of God? Who is worthy? Cry goes out to all of creation. No one. No one dares to attempt. John’s grief. The uniqueness of Christ. Lion of the tribe of Judah ( Gen.49:9,10) The root of David ( Isaiah 11:1,10)

8. He has conquered Jesus has conquered therefore He is worthy to open the scroll.He brings to pass the plans of God for all of history. The Lion is our Champion. The lion is powerful, and majestic. Let’s see our powerful redeemer the Lion!!

10. The Lion is a Lamb 5:6-A lamb standing as though it had been slain. A paradox: the power, majesty and strength of God is in the slain lamb. The nail scarred lamb The sacrificed lamb; who bears the marks of this sacrifice for all eternity. This is your conqueror, your champion!

11. Strength in Weakness The victory of God was through the humiliation and death of His Son. The rule of God (lion) comes through the suffering of Christ. (lamb). Strength in apparent weakness. Encouragement to the believers that there is value in suffering for the kingdom.

12. The Worship of the Lamb 5:7- the lamb takes the scroll. He is worshipped with a new song. The new song is the song of redemption and salvation. Anticipated by the prophets but not sung until now. It is an ever new song. All praise to the Lamb for his work of redemption.

13. Worthy is the Lamb 7 aspects mentioned ( power, wealth,wisdom, might, honor, glory, blessing.) this list is not exhaustive. Worthy of all worship. The Lamb is all of the above and much more.
