Why Adam Lambert? ● I chose Adam Lambert because I don't know much about many LQBQTIA musicians other than him. ● I knew of Adam Lambert because of he was runner-up for American Idol during its 8 th season. ● I like that he is openly gay. He is not shameful and is a strong advocate of the LGBTQIA. Early Life ● Adam was born to Leila and Eber Lambert on January 29, 1982 in Indianapolis. ● He moved at a young age to San Diego and performed in multiple theater productions there. ● Adam attended Mount Carmel High School which has a critically acclaimed music program, which he excelled in. He also performed professionally at this time for various musicals. ● After high school, he attended California State University – Fullerton, but only for a mere 5 weeks before leaving to Los Angeles. ● It was here that Adam made his big break doing various acts. LQBT Adovcacy ● Adam is openly gay and is an advocate of LGBT. ● He received the “Equality Idol Award” for exemplifying the characteristics of being an LGBT role model. ● He has been a part of the “It Gets Better” youtube series which helps people who are insecure of their sexuality or bullied for the sexuality.
