(Thanks to Kay Rehlich and Vahan Petrosyan) CERN: To participate in the project finalization (mainly S/W). To centrally produce, distribute and give support for both H/W and S/W Pigeon Point Reference designs (IPs) MMC mezzanine

Chosen connector (Samtec ERM/ERF8) was not very well adapted (no latching). Replaced by Samtec SS4/ST4. Oscillator too high for the use of the latched version of the SS4/ST4. AVR’s internal oscillator is used. PCB size can be reduced from: 20x39 to 20.5x28.5 mm From version 3: New connector latches not found to be robust enough so a fixation hole (for the use of a locking post) is added in the pcb. 7 3 rd xTCA IG meetingVincent Bobillier et al. 7 MMC mezzanine Software Basic code originally developed by DESY, then modified by CPPM Code is now in a SVN repository at CERN To-do list: Review of the code Remove unused code, improve coding style, add documentation, etc. Find and fix bugs Separate common S/W code from user specific/defined code DESY and CPPM are kept in the loop Add RTM and JTAG support DESY has contributed the basic function CERN will hook them up to the main program Add missing features (?) The Polaris AMC tester has flagged a lot of thing How much effort do we want to invest?
