6 W HAT IS My Bronco Activity Record (myBAR) is a program designed to keep track of your club membership(s), leadership role(s), awards earned, as well as a student’s employment and involvement on & off campus.

7 Benefits of Students – Use your myBAR Summary Report to prepare your resume, apply for internship opportunities, graduate school, awards and scholarships.

14 Registration Process Reminders All documents can be found on OSLCC Registration website starting July 1, 2016 Your registration will be denied if you submit before everyone attends all the workshops

15 Registration Process Reminders Double check all your paperwork! – Need advisor’s supervisor signature on advisor app, as well as advisor’s – Did president sign advisor app?

16 C LUB M EMBERSHIP Club membership must be entered into myBAR BEFORE YOU TURN IN YOUR REGISTRATION. Failure to do so will result in your club/organization’s registration being revoked.

17 S TEPS IN R EGISTRATION P ROCESS Update executive board members (retrieve Bronco IDs and email addresses) Grades (2.0 GPA) and judicial standing (“good” standing) will be checked Make an appointment with your Advisor: Upload Advisor application Upload ASI Signature Card (needs Advisor’s signature) Confirmation of roster page – must have 5 members minimum

18 S TEPS IN R EGISTRATION P ROCESS Non-Discrimination Policy Hazing Policy Alcohol Policy – Signed Acknowledgement Update and upload bylaws/constitution Non-discrimination statement Officer eligibility requirements 20% maximum non-CSU student requirements Inform OSLCC within 90 calendar days of changing bylaws

19 S TEPS IN R EGISTRATION P ROCESS Upload Policy Quiz & Acknowledgement Upload Event Planning Assessment Policy Quiz & Event Planning Assessment will be available online July 1, 2016 Attend BCORC – you should know when your E-Board members attend

20 S PECIAL R EQUIREMENTS In ADDITION to the previous steps, some organizations must also complete additional items in myBAR. New Clubs Check with Sharon Rocacorba at swrocacorba@cpp.edu Greek Council Chapters Check with John LeJay at jglejay@cpp.edu Sport Clubs Check with ASI Campus Recreation at sportsclubs@cpp.edu

21 R EMINDERS To access ASI Funds, reserve space, get recognition: – You must complete ALL steps in the registration process – correctly and be approved! Check your work! Once your registration is reviewed and approved, you will be notified about your registration status in myBAR. Be Patient!!! It may take up to 8 weeks to review your application. New clubs won’t get reviewed until Fall Quarter. If you do not complete the full process, your club/organization will not be registered.

23 Activity Split up into groups of 6-8 Discuss best practices (10 minutes) – Examples Things you want to implement or have seen implemented that are innovative ways to run your club Transition between e-boards How to run an effective and fun meeting What’s the best way to market outside of social media? 2-3 groups share 1 piece of advice

24 I MPORTANT D ATES July 1, 2016 – Clubs cannot be registered until after the new fiscal year has started. Your 2016-2017 registration will start July 1, 2016. – All required paperwork will be uploaded to the registration site. September 1, 2016 – Fall Deadline – There will be make-up conferences on October 21, but this may conflict with class. Your members will need to clear this with your professors first. We will NOT be responsible for class conflicts. – Only fully-registered clubs will be able to access funds/spaces. November 4, 2016 – Winter Deadline (FINAL chance to get registered)
