Activity 1: We Do: Bell work write the question and answers on odd # page of your ISN. 1.What is the celestial equator? 2.What is a circumpolar Star? 3.How did Edwin Hubble’s discovery that the Andromeda galaxy was far away and out side the our own galaxy contribute to astronomer’s knowledge about the size of the universe? Activity 2: Mini Lesson We Do: Brain pop video “Galaxies” whole class will review the quiz at the end of the video. Activity 3 You Do: Take galaxy notes individually as you complete the Galaxy worksheet.

Activity 3: I Do/You Do : In groups of 3 or 4 students will brainstorm a list of facts about the solar system formation.
