3 Current Work Items, User to Authority (I) Total Conversation implementation guide Total Conversation is a service for special needs users which includes a video relay service to an interpreter and real-time text EU regulation requires that disabled users of emergency services have equivalent access to other users STF 489 has worked with international standards bodies (3GPP, IETF) to ensure that Total Conversation can be provided in an IP environment and on mobile devices TR 103 201 is published. 4 Current Work Items, User to Authority (II) Advanced Mobile Location for emergency calls Describes how AML has been deployed in the UK, based on SMS and matching handset location with cell-id to get a high confidence position Considering how AML can be deployed in other countries, e.g. with different PSAP architectures or where there is no 112-SMS service TR 103 393 is published. 7 Current work items, Authority to User (II) Guidelines for alert message content accessibility Work is jointly with ETSI Human Factors Some scenarios for accessibility of Public Alert Messages have been presented The Technical Report will set best practice guidelines for the presentation of alert messages to disabled users Results will be contained in TR103 335. 7 © ETSI 2012. 8 Current work items, Authority to User (III) EU-ALERT – rich media alerts eMBMS technology can enable media to be broadcast during emergencies (e.g. pictures of missing persons, maps) 3GPP carried out a study and produced use cases.
