5. sdn-userdesk@seadatanet.org – www.seadatanet.org Common Data Index (CDI) Data Discovery and Access Service provides users with detailed overview and access to large volumes of marine and oceanographic data sets managed by the distributed data centres index (ISO 19115 – ISO 19139 compliant) to individual data measurements supported by Controlled Vocabularies and other SeaDataNet catalogues (e.g.Cruise Summary Reports (CSR), Organisations (EDMO) and Projects (EDMERP) ) to harmonise mark-up and to provide linked data services Data centres use the MIKADO XML editor to generate CDI entries in batch from local databases (after initial mapping)
