1 Kings Crossing Junior Golf Camp “Our goal is to instill a passion and love for the game of golf through world class instruction in a fun team environment. We strive to help all of our young students to grow as golfers but even more importantly as responsible and respectful people.” Brandon Hitti, PGA

2 Daily Agenda Day 1 Check in and hand out name tags. Instructor's introduction and group introduction. Layout 6 week agenda and set rules and safety expectations (15 minutes) Get to know the golf clubs (Grip or handle, shaft, head, face, sole, heel, toe along with brief description of the different types (Metals, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters) (15 minutes) Divide into two or more groups (depending on number of students) for basic grip, stance, posture. The one two three method along with bend, bend drop. Introduce tee striking (30 minutes)

3 Daily Agenda Day 2 Check in and hand out name tags. (10 minutes) Get to know the course (Clubhouse, practice putting green, driving range, tee box, fairways, greens and bunkers) (15 minutes) Divide into two or more groups (depending on number of students) for basic intro to short game. 1. One group to putting (Grip, stance, posture. Soft roll followed by jailbreak) 2. One group to chipping (Grip, stance, posture. Soft toss followed by Knock off game) (35 minutes) Introduce course care! No marks on the green! (How to fix divots, stepping in the line of the putt etc…)

4 Daily Agenda Day 3 Check in and hand out name tags. (10 minutes) Get to know the game (Objective: to hit the ball in the hole in the fewest amount of strokes. Explain scoring terms) (15 minutes) Divide into two or more groups (depending on number of students) for basic intro to short game. 1. One group to putting (Grip, stance, posture. Soft roll followed by jailbreak) 2. One group to chipping (Grip, stance, posture. Soft toss followed by Knock off game) (35 minutes) Reverse teams from the week prior to finish short game.

5 Daily Agenda Day 4 Check in and hand out name tags. (10 minutes) Get to know the rules 1. Marking and remembering your ball. Teeing behind markers and order of play (furthest from the hole) 2. Introduce importance of pace of play (2 hours or less per 9 holes) 3. Red, yellow and white stakes along with lost ball procedures (Provisional and drop procedures) 4. Play the ball down (Loose impediments and special relief situations) (30 minutes) Intro to sand trap as one large group spilt between two bunkers (rules and technique) (20 minutes)

One group to irons (Grip, stance, posture. Using 3 piece takeaway and turn oriented downswing. Emphasis on centered swings and lever reduction) 2. One Group to Metals (Grip, stance, posture. Using 3 piece takeaway and turn oriented downswing. Emphasis on centered swings and lever reduction) (50 minutes)

One group to irons (Grip, stance, posture. Using 3 piece takeaway and turn oriented downswing. Emphasis on centered swings and lever reduction) 2. One Group to Metals (Grip, stance, posture. Using 3 piece takeaway and turn oriented downswing. Emphasis on centered swings and lever reduction) (50 minutes) Reverse teams from the week prior to finish full swing.
