14 Do Implemented a process for allergy identification to be added to yearly competencies Evaluated the use of forced fields in software Added dieticians as users to enter allergies in AS400 Gave all disciplines the ability to update allergies Revised Drug Allergy Policy and Procedure to include above procedures Developed standardized allergy documentation, Master Allergy Form

17 ACT Continuously communicate quality initiative goals and results to the appropriate medical staff and hospital employees for review and discussion Individual review of non-compliant indicators with department directors. Individual education/counseling to staff members about areas of non-compliance.

18 Plan for Unit 8 Read Chapter 9: The Human Face of Medical Error. Participate in seminar: –compare and contrast, in detail, iatrogenic negative effects and medical errors. Give examples of each. Work on Power Point Presentation due in Unit 9. Quiz on Unit 7 material.
