WHO… IS MUSKEGON COUNTY PURCHASING The mission of the Purchasing Office of the Finance and Management Services Department is the timely and efficient procurement of quality goods and services for use by Muskegon County departments at the lowest price. This is typically achieved by gathering quotes, bids or proposals from vendors for the Departments of Muskegon County on the goods and services they are requiring. Vendors that are interested in doing business with Muskegon County are encouraged to register with MITN.

WHO… IS MITN The Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN) : MITN Purchasing Group provides a way for local agencies across the State of Michigan to more effectively notify vendors of bidding opportunities. The MITN Bid System delivers convenient, centralized online access to bid opportunities, reducing paperwork and making it easier for vendors to do business with local government. The system provides instant access to Bids, RFPs, Quotes, Addenda and Awards information from local government agencies.

4. WHERE… WWW.MITN.INFO The vendor registration, as well as solicitation requests are available on the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network’s (MITN) website. Vendors who submit a solicitation and wish to know the publicly read results before an award is made may also visit the MITN website to view a tabulation. www.MITN.info

5. HOW…DO VENDORS REGISTER WITH MITN? There are 2 registration options with MITN: Search Registration (for Free) Standard Registration (for a Fee) The table to the side shows the difference in the two registration types.

6. HOW…DO VENDORS REGISTER WITH MITN? Registration with MITN is simple: Start at www.MITN.infowww.MITN.info and click “Register”

7. HOW…DO VENDORS REGISTER WITH MITN? Start with Tab 1 Enter your Company’s information. When complete, click Continue Registration and go through the Registration Tabs.

8. HOW…DO VENDORS REGISTER WITH MITN? On Tab 4: Account Activation You can select Search Registration on the right for the Free Registration Or complete the page for Standard Registration

9. HOW…DO VENDORS REGISTER WITH MITN? If you selected the Search Registration: The next screen will display the different benefits between Search Registration and Standard Registration. You can still select Standard Registration by selecting the Registration button under the Standard column.
