National Postal Forum ® Mailer Identification Numbers Mailer Identification Numbers (MIDs) A MID is numeric code assigned to a mailer MIDs identify you as the owner of a mailpiece. All customers who use barcodes should get one, why wait? MIDs are assigned through the Business Customer Gateway. User guide available on RIBBs.
