2. What are Wildfires and how its caused? A wildfire is an uncontrollable fire in the forest. It is a natural disaster when dead trees set on fire because of sun, dry land and heat however sometimes this is caused by people throwing cigerattes or other lit objects near the trees, normally not intentional. Wild fires happen in California, Australia, Canada, south Africa. They also have other names like bush fires, forest fire, peat fire.

3. Side effects… It can destroy trees, habitats, animals, houses, bushes. Wildfires can spread fast to one side of the forest to the other. It sets all trees on fire and destroys everything in its way. Long terms affects could be bad lungs from the smoke, animals and humans can get serious burns on skin, scar you for life, destroy houses and kill out the animals habitats.

4. Wildfires recently In Colorado 2012 a fire started in the forest. 34,500 residents had to evacuate the town in the month June. On May 1, 2016, a wildfire began southwest of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. On May 3, it swept through the community, destroying approximately 2,400 homes and buildings and forcing the largest wildfire evacuation in Albertan history.It continues to spread across northern Alberta and into Saskatchewan, consuming forested areas and impacting Athabasca oil sands operations.It may become the costliest disaster in canadian history.

5. How to prevent wildfires Be certain to completely put out cigarettes before disposing of them. Follow local ordinances when burning yard waste. Avoid backgarden burning in windy conditions, and keep a shovel, water, and fire retardant nearby to keep fires in check. Remove all flammables from garden when burning.
