RSMS DESIGN TEAM - CITO MOBILITY SOLUTIONS Project Manager: Celeste Brown Design Lead: Olivier Donfack Manufacturing Lead: Idris Hassan Exp. & Analysis Lead: Taylor Sykes-Green An Electric Mobility system designed to safely transport both passengers and small cargo, that can easily be reconfigured through an automated increase in interior volume and a manually operated seating option. The system comprises a front module chassis housing the entire electric powered propulsion system and a completely detachable rear chassis module containing the optional third seat. The body contains the passenger seating, steering, and electric control panel. The mobility system’s body on frame design in addition to the modularity of the chassis components allows for simplified maintenance, replacement, or substitution with modules of alternate function. 3-D printed components have been used to consolidate parts and enable a more customized and modular design from the onset; specifically in the custom skate board chassis and optional third seat. 6 Academic Year 2015-2016 Human Powered Vehicle Competition A yearly event sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers that asks college students to design and compete with uniquely designed human powered vehicles. Sequil Gallion, Nicolas Hunter, Courtney Pettaway, Garrett Williams, Roderick Young The Rollover Protection System is meant to protect the rider if the tricycle happens to roll over onto either side. The Fairing is a streamlined structure meant to reduce drag forces and increase speed. The Dashboard will display the speed and the gear ratio of the tricycle, similar to a car dashboard.
